To protect your hands - try putting them into thick, fuzzy socks before you play with her. That should give you a little protection from those sharp little puppy teeth.

She might like Bully sticks

These are ! 100% digestable and last forever. They will keep your baby preoccupied too. I would still supervise her with one though. Because I do not take any chances with any type of bones given to a puppy or dog. These are great for there teeth too.
My Suzi hides hers... Sometimes it is hard to find it. Then when I do, she goes and hides it again. She is very possessive over her Bully Sick. LOL. I throw it away when it is too short, cause i am afraid she will choke on it.

Just want to say thanks again everybody! Bailey is already doing so much better! She is such a fast learner!

Biting- I finally got around to trying coins in a can. I shook it when I said no. It made me feel bad because it scared her to death, but 2 days later she definitely knows the word no! She backs off as soon as I say no, even when I don't use the can! Now company is another story. She knows biting me=bad sound. She still thinks biting other people is fair game.

Separation Anxiety- Well, she survived being left here alone for 2 hours. The whole time I was gone I was a nervous wreck, imagining her tearing up her pads, going potty all over, whining the WHOLE time, etc. I even called the house once to leave her a message.

Now I'm sure she whined and howled for a while, but when I walked in the house she wasn't even standing at the gate. No accidents, but she hadn't gone potty at all. However, after a little while home I left for 10 minutes to take a walk, and when I came back I could hear her howling from outside.

Oh well, baby steps. I am already so encouraged with her progress.

I tried, but it was hard to get the timing right that way. Maybe I need to have lots of cans handy for guests to use. Haha.

I'm afraid she might forever be terrified of Mountain Dew cans though, since that's what I used.

any reason why not to let the puppy sleep with you? will this lead to some behavioural problems in the future?
