| ♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | I wouldn't worry about it. I met a lady at the vet's office the other day that had a HUGE yorkie. She told me that she spent a long time finding a breeder that had a puppy that would be big (and boy is he BIG, he is 20 pounds). Some people want that. Sure, it's not the standard, but everyone has their own opinions. These new popular "designer breeds" - puggles, yorkiepoo, etc - are selling like crazy, and a lot of people look down on that because they aren't "pure bred" dogs. Who cares? Love your pet! : ) Don't get worked up when people think they are somehow better than you because you don't have the "perfect" Yorkie - you have YOUR perfect Yorkie, and that's all that matters!

| Hi, who cares what others think, as long as you love your babies so what. I have two Yorkies. Winnie, my female is small......she is 10 years old and weighs 5.2 pounds. My male, Tigger is a porker....he weighs 9.4 pounds. No matter what they weigh, they are both Yorkies.....and I love them to death. Cindy |

| Aww hon, unfortunately, lots of people are obsess with a yorkie size , you won't believe how much attention Melody gets because of that is just ridiculous, (jmho), I remember, I was on one of my yorkie meetups, and one girl ask me what kind of dogs my girls are hubby was not happy, because the way she ask, it was obvious she was jelous, so don't let them get you, maybe they say that because they can't afford one lol

| I don't let it bother me. S'anah is a teapot for sure and I am GLAD she is. She is the perfect size for us! On the other hand, it is interesting to note that twice now I have had the OPPOSITE reaction about my 4 month old shih tzu, Norman. He is far TOO SMALL for a shih tzu! He will never make the standard (9 - 16 lbs). Am I sure he is pure bred because he is too tiny, etc. Funny how opinionated people are about our babies isn't it?

yeah exactly what is their point I mean like what is there outcome to there question they make no common sense and sometimes it does make other people miserable if i thought some thing or someone was ugly or fat i would not dare tell them because i know its hurtfull u can be straight forward with people but people need to use their words correctly it's so easy to get offended and when u r offended they don't understand why cause the subject or the matter isnt important to them geeezzz people need to take a hike and if they have nothing nice to say they should not say nothing at all.......... | |

| ![]() ![]() i love my yogurt to pieces. he is really sturdy with his big paws and i am GLAD he is a teapot . he plays really rough with my little sister and loves to jump! he thinks if he jumps hard enough he can reach the kitchen counter top where all the human yum yums are!he is 7 months old but judging from the size of his paws he can get even bigger! they are really really big! and soft . love playing with them![]() funny side story -- when i went to buy yogurt his food last week i asked the people there if i could feed my yogurt wellness small breed adult or should i stick to puppy. she kept on asking me if my "puppy" was underweight or overweight. and i told her he is a 7 month old yorkie, just a little over 8 lbs. she replied "OH then he isnt one of the teacup yorkie then." i proudly answered "NOP he's not a teacup he's a teapot!" |

| Gucci gets it too.. he is only 6 lbs but he still gets told he's big by an odd person here and there lol he has a lot of fur which makes him look even bigger and chubbier lol... I also get questioned on his age A LOT!.. they tell me he is a really big puppy!! what is he .. 3-4 months? .. I tell them he's 7.5 months and DONE GROWING.. they tell me am I sure because Yorkies turn grey and Gucci is Black. I tell them I am positive and they can ask his vet if they'd like and he will most likely stay black and a Giant Puppy forever!! ![]() I also get questioned on what breed he is.. lmao A YORKIE PEOPLE!!! They always ask If he is pure (going back to his color) I could care less I LOVE HIS COLOR! most yorkie owners love it as well.. because he looks like a fluffy baby yorkie.. I don't get too many educated Yorkie owners asking questions, only the uninformed that "THINK" they own a TEACUP or Micro People are just ignorant and when they are having a bad day they want to make yours bad as well.. If you love your baby which I KNOW YOU DO.. who cares just make a sarcastic remark back and be on your way... that's what I do ![]() LOL HE JUST HAD A BATH IN THE PIC and he was playing with his daddy So He's a BIG MESS lol.. BUT I PUT IT THERE TO SHOW HIS COLOR Last edited by annamalyssa; 03-28-2009 at 12:08 AM. |

| BANNED FOR NOT SENDING A GE GIFT! | Personally, I think Bingo is perfect, the two of you found each other, love each other. I think other people are jealous of what you have. My boy Trevor is not a pure bred, but I can't imagine loving him any more than I do. In my eyes, he is the perfect pup for me...... |

| ♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | It is frustrating I agree. When I went to look at Tia I didnt know what to expect being my first yorkie. My sister has a yorkie and Ive never even thought about asking what she weighs, a yorkie is a yorkie, a beautiful intelligent love ball lol. When I got to the breeder she said Ill have to charge you an extra £100 as she is a teacup yorkie.Never heard of that in all my days, but paid as I fell in love there and then.Well I thought the smallest in the litter were called runts and were sold cheaper lol.Anyway she is 9mths and 5 half pounds not too small but I do sometimes wish she was a little bigger. My point is, its the temperment of these dogs we love whatever the size.
