| ![]() She definitely doesn't look like she has such a "wirey" coat as in the other pictures Gina posted, she looks like the same dog from the breeder pictures now IMO.. I hope Emma finds a good home soon, if Gina has her out and playing with her kids AND dog now, she can't be all that bad ![]() |

| ![]() well well, some things have changed. You are speaking everyday with her. You even heard Emma playing with Gina's other little one. Guess they are getting along now. Also the kids are giving Emma attention. So I guess all is well with Emma and the kids now. Except for for the food aggression. Well maybe in time that is gonna end too. After all, Emma wasn't in the house long, maybe she is adapting better. BTW, anyone bringing a new dog home knows you need to introduce the dog slowly to the Alpha dog. You just don't put it down and let them go at it. Sheesh All said and done, end of story. Last edited by Jemma; 03-31-2009 at 12:56 PM. |

| ![]() Wow... I can't believe I just read through all those threads! Poor Emma. I feel bad for all of the parties involved. I know that I'm opening old wounds but, after reading the post via Wylies mom from the atty if Amanda's offer is still on the table then is there still a possibility of getting her spayed and in a foster home? I know she is not in a "bad situation" with the buyer right now but given the recession our country is in I sincerely doubt that the buyer is going to recoup any $ on this purchase. Especially with a pending lawsuit! Buyer, if you are already a person involved in rescue, surely you know you are fighting a losing battle. If you are in rescue then we know you have a heart and see some awful situations surrounding rescues you receive, is there no way to cut your losses? I know your husband is very against it and I wish there were an insurance policy for something like this, kind of like in a contract from a REPUTABLE BREEDER, but would you not eat your deductable for say a car, boat, house, jewlrey or any other expensive item you pay good $ for? And I know this is dog and has a heartbeat, it is not an object. Forgive the analogy, (I am the queen of crazy ones) but I think your husband referred to a computer already! ![]() If you really care for animals, and it seems you do, let Emma go, let her be loved and maybe her aggression problems can be worked out in a loving home and you will have the peace of mind that she will be spayed and carefully placed. You can be involved as much or as little as you want. I just want to make it clear that I am not saying that she is not getting loved in your home and that she looks to be very well cared for. Obviously you wanted her and invested a lot to get her to you we know you had the best of intentions. It is a SHAME that someone here on YT took advantage of you the way they did. You have all the power in the situation and we can only suggest what to do, but after reading all of this it sounds like you have a pretty sweet deal being offered to you to HELP you TRY to get some $ back.

That doesn't excuse Gina of turning around and doing the same exact same thing you did but 2 wrongs does not make you right.

Saying that I have taken the advise from someone on here that I have a lot of respect for and will no longer say anything about Emma. Gina is doing what she has to do for her family and Emma.In the meantime Emma is being treated very well. The amount she wants for Emma is 650 this will cover the Vet bills on Teiyas injuries that were caused by Emma. She has taken a loss of the 1100 and she knows the only way she can se that money is if the court finds the breeder guilty and makes her pay her back. This will take some time and Gina is fully aware of it.It is stressful for Gina but she is being strong and is keeping Emma until she finds a suitable home for her.She will not settle for anything less for Emma. That being said this is it.Ending it! | |

The breeder did say this, but was only willing to reimburse for the actual cost of dog, not shipping and all the other incidentals, and Gina refused that offer. If you look at the original ad for Emma http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...e-florida.html, the breeder was fairly frank with discussing Emma's aggression problems with other female dogs.
