Theres too much talk about money and not enough about the needs of the dog. The buyer should always see the dog before buying ,we all know that. Find a puppy in your own hometown and save the poor animal from travelling.

I am sorry but I dont think this was nice. Yes the puppy deserves a loving home but the seller if a responsible breeder would be I would think more than willing to take her back to assure that this puppy go to a compatable home which unfortunately this one is not. That does not mean the buyer is a bad person it just seems that the poor little girl got off to a bad initial start with first home and didnt recover well before going to her second. Best of luck original OP I am on your side.

I totally agree with you!

The fact that so many people bounce back and fourth between this very subject and the use of he/she everywhere says just about everything that can be said regarding the subject of the mis-representation.

I agree with you 100% that you were mis-lead, not only with photo looks, but size too :(

This issue is easy to solve

Buyer............. fly to Florida
Seller .............give her a full refund
Buyer.............. fly back to Salt Lake and realize a good lesson learned and be glad it didn't cost you everything you paid....

Enough on this thread

It kills me to read that attacks from the Seller also regarding how she thinks she's being abused, neglected, and etc.

Teiya has about 2x's AT LEAST more clothes than I do (granted, I'm a guy, but still.)

They get fed the absolute best food that we can get our hands on.

My wife has and as intimately familiar with more dog grooming combs, brushes, and contraptions than your average female keeps in her aresenal.

The dogs have more hygeine products and shampoos, and body sprays, and dental, etc... than we do.

She sleeps in our bed, go everywhere with us.

Spare me the neglect and abuse, why she has her ears back in the picture outside is beyond me other than it's definitely not due to abuse and neglect. I offer up Emma scritches and all sorts of attention and equal treats to teiya, she just always wants teiyas too and will seriously stop at nothing to get it, she, just doesn't get it. It's sad she's so concerned with hording food, but we have always and still do free feed, it's not like she doesn't have her own or that she goes with out for ANY period of time.

It just outrages me to read her ignorant stabs at us and out integirty.

The other funny thing is that the dogs actually did goto a spa when we did because we didn't want to leave them home alone because teiya really misses her mommy so we wanted to try to keep her occupied.

It's a different dog, no question, or at least a terribly misrepresented dog by using a really old photo for the ad (I think it's a different dog). In my experience, lighting can make a HUGE difference - more lighting can make the hair appear fuller and lighter, but that's not the same dog.

Are you guys working something out or are you looking for a new home for her? I would love the opportunity to help in any way I can. - Like findhing her a new home, etc.

Honestly, as a breeder, I would refund every cent and drive to Florida to pick her up if there were a problem. Especially with an adult Yorkie, a good fit in a new family is a MUST. We have rehomed a few older Yorkies, and always there was the expectation that if for ANY reason it didn't work out, we would happily take the Yorkie back and find it a new home - I want to know where all of our babies are, how they are being cared for, who they are with, etc. Personalities with older Yorkies can be tricky when you take them out of their normal environment, so a breder should always spend a lot of time in making the right family choice when rehoming a Yorkie.

Anyway, I've thrown in my two cents.

Here's an example of how lighting can make a Yorkie look different - same dog, one outside with natural light and one inside under bright lights with a flash - taken about 6 days apart.

OMG! That puppy is so adorable!

and on this mentality all of us would be broke. Unfortunately people tend to be opportunits, in general people just want to live and get along. but there are aneough people out there that if there weren't recourse for your actions would take us for everything that we have and this world would be a very sad place with a few happy well off people at the expense of everyone else. If no one stands up then we ultimately support this type of business ethics. We haven't gotten where we are as a race by turning the other cheek and being grateful that the didn't turn us around and kick us in the behind too.

emilyann 03-26-2009 02:17 PM

I think it's a different dog and I also think it's complete crap how the seller sent e-mails/replied on here a few times trying to make the buyer feel sorry for her and trying to make everyone on here feel sorry for her too. Why bring up religion, it bothers me more than anything when someone selling a dog or really anything in general has to bring up that they go to church or believe in God.

Oh and another thing, if I were in this situation, I'd do the same thing with the dog when my dog was trying to eat.

I would also be highly pissed if the seller had already went and bought another dog. I wouldn't even want to hear any of her ignorant excuses as to why she did this. It would just make me that more determined to get my money back.

Hope it turns out in your favor and I'm so sorry.

Yeah, but you can still see the black on the Yorkies nose in both pictures. In the OP's situation, you can't.

ILoveBingoo 03-26-2009 02:24 PM

yes I do agree it does look like two different dog's one being the ears are up on the first one and down on the other two pictures the hair is much lighter on the first pic and darker on the last two and the hair looks more oily on the last two I'm so sorry this happened to you..

jolissa 03-26-2009 02:24 PM

Hi I don't believe they are the same dog at all. They have different coat textures, different structures & the one you have has hair missing on the top of her nose. If you cannot return her or want to keep her. I would right away start looking for a dog trainer before someone gets seriously hurt. I do believe with lots of work this can be dealt with, but you need a good trainer to help you learn how to control this behavior problem. Good luck. Please keep us informed on how she's doing.

That's basically what I was showing - there are differences in how light makes a Yorkie look, but you can still tell it's the same dog.

sheilacantoo 03-26-2009 02:31 PM

get a lawyer

stop her, so she can't do it to other people too. I agree the dog is cute but its not what she told her she was getting.
