To answer the original question, NO, it does not look like the same dog and probably isn't.

I don't know if this was asked as I didn't get through all of the posts but was there a contract and if so, did it state you had a certain amount of time to return the puppy if need be? If so, that's what you should do, end of story. The breeder should have no problems taking her back. Unfortunately, the only cost you may have to eat are the shipping. But either that or find her a good home yourself.

I feel sorry for the poor little one but understand you should get what you expect and paid for! It's an awful feeling when you feel deceived.

My thoughts too, the sales ad dog's coat is gorgeous, the dog appears friendly, confident.

The photos of the dog the OP was sent, is darker, the coat is not as nice, facial features are different and looks sad, unhappy and not confident at all.

I really hope the sellers makes arrangements to take this poor girl back and find a home for her. It's the right thing to do. I also thinks shipping and vet expenses should be paid.

After reading this I also feel like I should share my thoughts. I agree with KJLive, I'm taking the dogs side because she should go to a good home. I see that the only thing the buyer wants is to find a loving home for the poor little girl. The seller has not stated at all that she would like the same.

IMO, I feel that both sides should talk among themselves and they both should just try to find a good home for the dog.




Agree once again, this isn't high school. This is for what I've seen so far on here, that its a respectable forum with many people that own, want to sell/buy yorkies.

If everyone would take a step back and just look at the bigger picture here: THE DOG. This dog just needs a home where someone can be there to train and take care of her and has no other dogs or small children. The seller should just refund money, and help find a home for the dog.

All in all I just hope that the dog finds a home that will be completely suitable for her.

No way that is the same dog there face and fur color ot total different and even if it was a 2 month old pic.. i think you were scamed and if a fellow YT did that then she needs to go somewhere else we are to be a family here and take care of each other .I know times are hard but come on...:confused:

You've only offered to refund me the purchase price of the dog, not the shipping when you clearly misrepresented the dog to me. Had you been honest with current pictures, size and disposition, you never would have shipped that dog to me as I would have KNOWN it wasn't a good fit. But you were happy to get rid of her to whomever would pay you your asking price. Are you willing to split the shipping costs with me and place the funds in escrow so we can close this matter and do what's right for poor Emma??

people have repeatedly asked you to try to resolve this off the board. The breeder is trying to resolve it thru phone calls which you have not answered and also thru emails. yet you choose to co ntinue here. The breeder has been thoroughly bashed. Your opinion has been made known. Now it's time to move on and do what's best for this dog. As you mentioned earlier, it is both your faults. Wylie's mom, this is not a review. it is a bashing contest. It did not even start out as a review. And most of these people have nothing to do with the breeder, don't know her or of her and have no personal experience at all to be able to review her as required by the rules on here. The OP is the only one and she did not start this out to be a review. If she wants to do a legit review on this breeder then certainly she ought to and do it the right way.

In your thread title, make sure you put in the name of your breeder, groomer, or vet, as well as the city and state (or city and country for non-USA cities). If there is a company name, you can include that as well.

So you see, Jenn, only the OP has any personal experience and the breeder does have the right to defend herself. i think it should be handled between the two of them without all of US jumping in.

I truly believe this is the same dog. If you would have posted the pictures of her that you posted when you go her, all clean and dressed up, you will see how lighting can make a dog look completely different at times. If anyone is to blame, it's you. How many times have you heard: NEVER buy a dog sight unseen? Go to the breeders home and check out living conditions and so on.
I feel sorry for this baby now. She deserves to have a wonderful, loving, forever home. This isn't the first time I have seem people that have a 2 & 3 pound Yorkie decide it needed a play-mate only to be very dissapointed when it "arrives" and is larger or not as cute. Then they start finding fault right away like, it growls, it chews, it attacks my tiny baby and so on. I hope you get your money back so the lady can find loving parents for her.

I don't know the situation but food aggression and general agression to one dog, are 2 different things.I think she was misrepresented.I hope you can resolve this peacefully.:(

OMG where do I start? Why are you writing so hatefully? We can disagree without the vile turpitude. If there is something specific you disagree with, state it plainly without all of the meanness. The OP asked for opinions, I gave mine. I think the OP proved some of her points (for instance, pulling up the digital picture data showing the picture to be 5 months old vice 1). I would not say the dog is definately not the same dog. I did say that looking at the pictures I would not believe they were. I also think there were enough other things wrong with the transaction that it needs refunding. I stated specific reasons in my post that made me feel the way I do. I did not call the seller names, I did not try to insinuate she was stupid, so why are you doing that? I am not bashing her, I do feel she has acted unprofessionally -- my opinion, and obviously one shared by others. In turn, she has those like you who believe differently. That is life -- everyone is not going to agree all the time. But hopefully, people will be mature enough not to act like schoolyard hooligans when they state their respective stands. You would make a lot more points with people if you would nicely say that you have always had rewarding and professional dealings with her. Support your case instead of attacking the other side. We're not in politics for heaven's sake!

To address some of your points: I do certainly have a clue. I am computer literate albeit not nearly as much as I would like. I don't know about you, but here on YT, I type my words and do not "speak" them, which would make it libel and not slander IF (BIG IF) there were untruthful written words, just as I said -- although this is such a minor point I hate to repeat it. No, I do not base my opinion on one person's comments. I read what BOTH the seller and buyer had to say. I looked at what proof was offered by each, I made as informed a decision as was possible. No matter how many times you saw the dog before, while it was at the sellers house, you cannot absolutely KNOW that it is the dog that is now in the buyer's possession either, unless you accompanied it there. We both just have to have our own opinions. They can be different. What a drab and lifeless world this would be if we didn't sometimes disagree.

As your request that I do my "stinking research, these are some of the things I noticed:
--The seller tries to make things look bad for the buyer like acting like she is concealing her identity just because she used both her first and middle names -- and told the seller which was which.
--The seller accuses her of keeping the dog outside, like she is making her live out there in the very same post that she quotes from an email where the buyer is telling her, in NO WAY is the dog living outside. She was outside WITH the dog so her poor little 3 pound dog could eat. The seller is obviously trying to garner support by making people think the buyer is abusing Emma when she knows she is NOT being made to live outside.
--You say she never said the dog would be a breeder, yet the ad says "she will make beautiful puppies" -- that is breeding. No way this dog should have been sold as a potential breeder.
--The seller is offering only $800 back to the buyer if she pays even more money to return the dog. The buyer has already paid $1150 to the seller and more in vet fees. The seller should pay for at least one of the shipping fees.
-- You say there is no way Emma ever displayed agression when you saw her so many times but Jasmanea herself wrote: "You were well aware of the "aggression" and you ASSURED me many times over that you knew "click training, behavioral training, etc.. " So, she is admitting there is an agression problem.
-- You said the buyer is responsible for shipping period. That is not true when there has been misrepresentation.
-- and so many other things that I already wrote in my previous post. So, you are right about one thing --it was some STINKIN' research.
