| No you are not alone. i get the same way. I thought because I had more compassion for animals and children I was beginning think something was wrong with me. I can't stand to read about the abuse of animal and children. To me animals and children are so helpless and completely dependent on us for their safety. So when I hear about it and tears me up inside. I volunteer at the local humane association and I wish I could take them all home but just being there in some capacity to help them helps me to feel not so helpless when it comes to there protection. Sometimes I want to cry there as well. For example a woman brought in her dog because she no longer was able to take care of him for economic reason....recent layoffs in her household. Well of course when I looked into this dogs eyes it just made me almost cry because this dog just had a look of confusion, sadness and fear. So of course, I tried to show him a little special attention and the dog handler got him all groomed and pretty. While I wasn't too thrilled that she gave up her dog, I was very glad that she at least brought him to the shelter and didn't just abandon him. |

| ah yes... hurt/sick/lost/injured/dying or dead animals... pretty much any animal makes me want to bawl .... I really couldn't read the RIP section here for awhile... it made me cry EVERY SINGLE TIME! My heart and soul goes out to those animals and their owners who loved them to pieces. To those that HURT/KILL animals I want to kill... I really do. I shouldn't say that on a public forum. I think they are scum of the earth people, not people, monsters.

| Thanks so much for all the responses. I really thought I was nuts, crying about a dog. I'm glad others feel the same way. I can't imagine how I will handle the day that something happens to Widget. I know dogs don't last forever but they make a mark on my heart that never will be erased. |

| YT 1000 Club Member | I'm the exact same way. My eyes just well up in tears reading some of this stuff. I find myself feeling fearful and protective of the story making me sad or upset. Makes me want to be like Ellie-May Clampet and take care of all strays or mistreated animals. Sometimes I look at Roxie and think what a lucky little dog to have a family that loves her, feeds her and makes sure she's safe and warm. I wouldn't have it any other way! |

| I should say to all you (fellow) cry babies. Bless you all for your kind, gentle caring hearts. Many times I have read something and thought to myself, "you have to stop going to YT and upsetting yourself". I'm glad to see I'm not the only one here who gets upset.

| Yes, I cry. It is impossible not too. There are times I cry for the fur baby but I really get upset with the owners when I see so many bad things happen to these little fur babies that can be prevented. These defenseless babies depend on us to protect them. I do understand that an accident can happen in a split second but there are many accidents can be prevented if you just use common sense. |

| I can never read the "bad" stuff on here I just simply can't take it. I LOVE to read about "bad" ppl getting their dues tho! I cry at hallmark commercials so that tells ya how bad I am sometimes, but I'd much rather have a tender heart than a hard heart. Can you imagine if they put a YORKIE in a HALLMARK commercial.....OMG pass the hankies!

It is a sad reality in this world that people treat and abuse animals this way. I have been crying about Teagan for 3 weeks. My husband has cried for Teagan. My 2 grown sons have cried for Teagan and most heartbreaking my 13 yr old daughter has cried. We cry because we care and want to help and make a difference. It is passion for the love of animals that we cry. It makes you a stronger person to have these heartfelt feelings. There is so much suffering that goes on needlessly that we as human with just a little effort can help change. If you turn a blind eye that is not helping to join the fight for animal causes and right. I posted the story about Teagan so that people would be aware of what can and does happen to these tiny precious little ones. How people just do not care and I want people to share the outcome of his story~whatever that might be. ![]() Cry because we need to make changes, cry because we are angry at their treatment, cry because they cry but do not turn a blind eye to what is going on. CRY because he is just one of the countless that have been removed from thier misery to be helped. If you shut this type of sadness out, this will only allow these types of things to continue and enable the people who bring this suffering upon these trusting creatures to continue in their evilness. They do not have a voice so WE need to be their voice. Cry in anger, sadness and frustration not in pity for your own feelings. I hope you continue to read and follow Teagan's story because I believe it will be a life lesson for so many including my daughter Megan. ![]() http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...old-puppy.html
