I'm the exact same way. My eyes just well up in tears reading some of this stuff. I find myself feeling fearful and protective of the story making me sad or upset. Makes me want to be like Ellie-May Clampet and take care of all strays or mistreated animals. Sometimes I look at Roxie and think what a lucky little dog to have a family that loves her, feeds her and makes sure she's safe and warm. I wouldn't have it any other way! |
