Get rid of the rugs!! I have hardwood floors in my apt. and no problem when Rocco has an accident. quick easy cleanup and natures miracle does not harm the floor. I have a small cottage in the mountains in PA. and am in the process of ripping up the carpeting I have in the living room. I am putting down pergo which is in the rest of the house. Much easier to clean but most important alot more healthier than rugs...

Oh wow!!! We have carpet layers coming Tues. We've lived with wood floors for 23 years and ready for a change. Bella is housebroke and uses pee pads in the bathroom. But I know I might have to pen her up in the kitchen in the beginning when we go somewhere. We were ready for warmth on the floors.

We will be refinishing them soon, and will never had carpet again. However, I enjoy area rugs in some rooms, but they can always be tossed if they get too gross.

We use rugs too. They are a lot easier to clean up any messes too!

				   | I vote for hardwood floors too. We just moved out of a house with all hardwood floors to a house with cream colored carpeting. Ugh! It does NOT work with a Westie that likes to dig and get muddy OR for little Lucy that has the occasional accident. With hardwood floors; you just wipe it up and FORGET ABOUT IT!

Wooden floor the best option to opt for as it does not require any carpet cleaning techniques nor carpet cleaning service providers and dirty smell and stains on carpet..

Our boys are beating the daylights out of our HW floors. Frisco is 17 and just can't seem to control himself beyond 3 hours, and Codi had surgery to remove stones and since, has a hard time controlling himself. We usually find a sizable puddle of Urine everyday at different locations in our bedroom....we put down Wee-Wee Pads and newspaper....we're lucky if they clip one of them. It's gotten to the point where some flooring is starting to cup....not a good sign, so we also wonder if carpeting would have been better....hopefully we can repair the floors by sanding and refinishing.
