I agree that carpet is disgusting. My husband and I put carpet in a house and then decided to sell the house one year after the carpet had been installed. We thought wood floors would help to increase the value. We took the carpet up (keep in mind it had only been down for a year) and we were totally grossed out with how nasty carpet is. You would not believe all the dust and dirt under the carpet. I am a compulsive vacuumer and still it was nasty! I will never put carpet down again. That house sold and we built a new one. All tile and wood floors for us!

I agree with you! When we moved into our house, we pulled up all of the disgusting carpet and found 98 year old hardwood floors underneath We will be refinishing them soon, and will never had carpet again. However, I enjoy area rugs in some rooms, but they can always be tossed if they get too gross.
