| ![]() I take my Chester to the dog park every once in a while right now when the weather is okay. When it gets warmer he will go more often. He loves it there and we have never had any issues. He hasn't caught anything and I'm not worried. They have animal control officers patrol to check that dogs are registered and have their shots, etc. I have strict rules about no kids touching or picking up my dog. He loves to play with big dogs and big dogs love him. I am not worried about him and he knows to listen to the tone of my voice when he gets too far away. It is an enjoyable experience for the both of us. ![]()

| ![]() I would never take Scooter to a dog park. First of all there are zillions of fleas here in Florida and Scoot has never had fleas so I'm not about to take the chance. Second, he is not happy around strange dogs so a dog park isn't the place for us. I also worry about him catching some weird disease because not all dog owners are responsible enough to vaccinate.
