Unfortunately, you can't sue.

But I would write a nasty letter to the vet personally and give him/her all the info. Tell him/her that you will be letting everyone in the area know about how he/she reacted. I think that's the least he/she deserves. And people should know what kind of a vet he/she is!!!

I'm so happy everything worked out ok for you! How frightening! Also the first vet should be ashamed of himself! I'm in the medical profession (RN) and I can tell you my lunch is interrupted plenty! That's almost unheard of! I can't imagine telling someone "let me finish my sandwich then I'll give you the heimlich".

Glad that toby is going to be ok...
I'm shocked that the vet wanted to eat first knowing there was a dog that needed his/her help what kind of VET does that!!
