| I have never personally heard of a crow taking a puppy (hawks & owls, yes) but they can be very mean and aren't easily frightened. There are a lot of them in out area and they are huge. I have seen them peck at groundhogs, nasty things! |

| I have never heard of them taking a small animal, but my neighbors and I just went through what could be called a scene from "The Birds" about a month ago. They were everywhere, at least 30/40 of them squaking away, and nothing would scare them away....I tried video taping them as there were soooo many, but hard to catch them all in flight....Needless to say, since then I am extremely cautious with my lil one.....

| The crows in our neighborhood are after cat food, so they may be after dog food. They are noisy pests, for sure. |

| These are my two biggest fears: 1. a big bird will get one of my babies or 2. someone will break into my house and steal my dogs when I am not home. I try not to take them out in the street for walks in my neighborhood. We have a fenced backyard with a privacy fence so no one can see them when they are outside. We take them to a couple of local parks and the pet stores to "get them out of the house". My son who lives in the next subdivision saw a car pull up and steal a neighbor's little Beagle. He and another neighbor tried to run down the vehicle to get the license plate but were unable to. They were too far away. The little boy who owned the dog was heartbroken. I've actually had dreams about this. |
