| I don't know if Max is the exception but he doesn't hump anything and he has tied a few times with females. He is not a big marker in the house but outside, watch out! He seems very much in control with all of that "stuff" for the most part.

| Okay I am sorry I cannot stop laughing at this thread "I own you take it like a dog" and "Hey, I'm a married woman". Poster you may be very serious and if you are I can fully understand. My SophieKate went through a phase when she (yes she) would try to hump my arm, when that got boring she would have her way with a Pink Loofah Dog.or a Sock Monkey. Best advice I got was ignore it and do not react - take the Loofah Dog and move it. You were given some really good advice to neutering your dog, I have a girl and trust me the minute she was old enough she was spayed. Since that time I have not seen her attempt to hump anything

Thor's Human Donating Member | I really do hope you neuter him. It takes a lot of work and research to breed responsibly, and you don't want him going off and fathering puppies when you're not looking.

| This thread is hilarious! You need to neuter him. My Chachi humped all the time before the neuter now he rarely does.

| I have nothing to add - but this thread is hilarious! I thought the original poster was joking too, now I feel bad for her being made fun of. Hope she takes everyone's advise and gets the little humper fixed. I also hope she isn't discouraged from posting in the future.

| Yes, it is true. There have been a number of cases reported on YT where neutered males have tied with females in heat. It is more likely to happen if the neutered male had previously been used as a stud but I have read of cases where the neutered male had never been used for breeding but still tied a female. |

| I would get him neutered if you do not plan to breed him. Dogs that are not neutered have a high risk of developing prostate cancer in their older dog years. If you arent experienced with breeding....then i wouldnt breed. Sometimes we need to just take a step back...and do whats best for our baby.

| Gracewriter, I have nothing to add, we've always neutered our males, and like someone else said, it was a long time until I actually realized what that meant (growing up, I don't think I realized dogs had balls) Anyway, I loved your post. It was well-written and you certainly drummed up alot of interest. I'm sure if you have any specific questions all you need to do is ask. Good luck!
