| I paid $1300 for my girl and $800 for my boy. They are from different breeders. I think $2000 is a wee bit much...unless they have very good blood lines. Are they AKC?

| Please (!) get your yorkie from a breeder. It will save you SO MUCH $ in the long run. $2000 is somewhat normal for a female puppy. However, a $2000 dog is not often better than a $1400 dog. It is important that you find a breeder that keeps the dogs with him/her in the house (and that their house is clean) and one that offers support for life for you in the dog. Ask them lots of questions!! Look around on this website and search for questions to ask the breeder. |

| I paid the equivalent of $450 USD for my female. I got her from a breeder. Prices for females with good bloodlines run up to about $600 USD here, but pet quality yorkies can be had for $150. When we get another one, I expect to go back to the same breeder. They own both parents, the dogs live in the house with them, and are very well socialized. My only concern is they let the pups go very young, but that's not uncommon here (we used to sell puppies at 6 weeks in America, too). We are very happy with our pup...she's healthy, personable, intelligent, and a barrel of fun! She also, so far, is conforming well to breed standard.

| We payed about $800 each for our girls. Our breeder normally sells female puppies for about $1400, but we got ours when they were a bit older. K |

| I got Bogie from a small breeder (didn't know how to look for a 'good' one but I new the lady from crafting) for $400 with AKC papers. Woody I got for $600 with AKC from a pet store (I know, but I didn't know any better) I don't really understand what "good lines" are, but I have a 3 generation on both my boys if anyone can explain it to me. I have seen some locally advertised for upto $2500 F and $1500 M.
