| SO sad I can't believe people I have 5 yorkies and they all weigh about the same, from 31/2 to 41/2 lbs. My neighbor came over and she commented on my girl being soooo big,I just looked at her shocked like she was stupid.I mean lots of people like the tinys I do too but, lets put this in perspective,a 41/2 lb YORKIE IS STILL TINY!!!.Mind you she is only 16 but wow!.She only wants to hold my 31/2 lb girl but my other four just get to look up at her hoping they get chosen next for some petting. Its sad,and the thing is you never really know what size they will be,but lots of people don't know the first thing about them and want a tiny, will probably end up with a larger one because they will have been larger as a pup and they will have no idea until too late. I am not so angry as amazed that 41/2 lbs is still not tiny enough.Personally I think to do it all over again my smallest would be 5lbs,and I would only take a tiny if I was older and retired. They require a lot of care and I would just not want to working, away from them so long. That is my personal opinion based on my own experiences. I think this whole "teacup" thing is only going to get worse with a lot of people burned before it gets better.GOSH I wonder what she would have said if she were the standard 7lbsgod forbid.

| Some people can be so ridiculous....they have no idea what care is involved with the tinies....they just want to put them in a purse!! Oliver and Brooklyn are 7-8 lbs and are small enough for me!!

| I think this is so funny because laci is only 13 weeks and 2.8 pds and everyone says " oh she is not a teacup" she is huge!! I think its pretty funny because she does have really really fluffy fur and she does look big but she is still a baby so I dont know what people expect. If she were any smaller I could fold her up and put her in my pocket. |

| If all she wants to do is come over and hold the tiny one.........then I would just tell her that I'm sorry she cannot come over anymore because she is giving the others a diet complex! |

| I've gotten that from people before. And usually it's from someone who has a puppy who might be 2 lbs. something and they swear that the dog will stay that size. I'm talking young puppy. I just smile and hope that they don't dump the dog when it grows up. As much as I love the tiny ones, I'm so glad my Tatum is a healthy hearty 6 lbs. even! She gained about a half pound when she switched to her new food a while back and I've called her my chunky monkey but she's still perfect to me!

| Our little guy is 5 months and weighs 2lbs 6 oz and the other night at petsmart one of the workers said...oh how cute what does he weigh 5lbs? He is going to be a big one My husband and I were cracking up. Hubby said how old and what he weighs and laughed at her and said I hope he gets to 5 lbs he would be perfect if even bigger and we walked away. |

Thor's Human Donating Member | That's so strange. Thor is 4 lbs and many people tell me he's the smallest adult dog they've ever seen.

| Silly teenagers. It amazes me how anyone could consider even a 7 lbs. dog anything but tiny. Geez -- here's a suggestion, make your neighbor kid earn "holding time" with your wee little one by spending time with the others. That way you have a win-win situation. |

| My sophie Weighs 7 pds on the nose!!! And i love her just the way she is. I don't think I would want any under 3 1/2 to 4 pds. I worry about sophie jumping and getting hurt. i must say she is short!!! |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Don't let anyone make you feel like your babies aren't perfect because they are. I don't care if they're 3 lbs or 13 lbs or whatever, they are perfect, each and every one. Some people are just rude, ignorant, and uninformed. My Lola is 4 1/2 pounds and to be honest, I wouldn't mind if she got a little bigger. I'm always so afraid of stepping on her!
