I have 5 yorkies and they all weigh about the same,from 31/2 to 41/2 lbs.
My neighbor came over and she commented on my girl being soooo
big,I just looked at her shocked like she was stupid.I mean lots of people like the tinys I do too but, lets put this in perspective,a 41/2 lb YORKIE IS STILL TINY!!!.Mind you she is only 16 but wow!.She only wants to hold my 31/2 lb girl but my other four just get to look up at her hoping they get chosen next for some petting.Its sad,and the thing is you never really know what size they will be,but lots of people don't know the first thing about them and want a tiny, will probably end up with a larger one because they will have been larger as a pup and they will have no idea until too late.
I am not so angry as amazed that 41/2 lbs is still not tiny enough.Personally I think to do it all over again my smallest would be 5lbs,and I would only take a tiny if I was older and retired.They require a lot of care and I would just not want to working, away from them so long.That is my personal opinion based on my own experiences.
I think this whole "teacup" thing is only going to get worse with a lot of people burned before it gets better.GOSH I wonder what she would have said if she were the standard 7lbs
