I can't believe she's still in business. Double bump.

Love Hey Everyone!

I'm so sorry I've been out of touch with everyone lately. This has been a crazy yr for me moving 3 times and going through a divorce. I am just now reading some msgs and posts and I am still being contacted by others in regards to Connie and her sick puppies she is still selling. If anyone needs to contact me please email me at lovelexy2009@gmail.com I'm trying to keep track of everyone through there and if you have a sick puppy you received from her please send me in an email your contact info with your name, email addy, phone and physical addy if possible and any scanned copies or info on medical proof of Vet documents stating your pup is sick I would really appreciate it. It will make things easier for me to just fwd info to them and them to you etc.

Thanks so much to all of you and the help you are offering!

Lexy is doing good, she has her cough episodes and is still prone to getting sick easy, just last week I had to get her on antibiotics again for having tonsilitis. I just recently adopted another Yorkie from a great breeder with a 3-yr health guarantee and I am very happy with her and her health. I'm very careful now and hope that others out there are as well when looking to adopt a new furbaby.

In trying to clear your name, might I respectfully suggest you begin by reading just your own posts for discrepancies…

Here Lexi has a cold in 2 wks after Theresa received her.

But here it was 3 weeks after Theresa got her and she [Theresa] irresponsly let Lexi choke on food and that caused the problem???

Oh, and for above, these babies can be beautiful and sick. And God places sick dogs into people's hearts the same as healthy ones so that statement you keep saying "do you want me to show you pictures" is truly a mute point!

OK, but this is the post that got me. I mean it really got me!!! I am simply a pet owner who fell in love with this breed first because of their adorable look but then because of the fact that they have more personality in their little nubbie tails than most people have in their whole body.

But even before I started learning how ignorant I was in locating a dog when I found my Monkey, I am pretty sure that this story of spending money to ship not one BUT two yorkies FOR FREE to someone who is just too poor to afford the dog makes me want to go grab a clothes pin for my nose because it smells, smells, stinky smells…

You SHIPPED two dogs to people who could not afford them??? And look how proudly you stated you cared for them for 2 months… Really… 2 months??? If I was trying to be a fake in an industry, and trying to recover my reputation, I think I would do a little research on what reputable considers acceptable for their dogs. As much as I am on the other side of the prospect and just want a furbaby and love and kiss on, and my patience would be at the very end of its chain by the time it arrived, I would never at this point of my knowledge accept a puppy before the age of 3 months.

You’ve stated that you have several decades of experience in this “business” and that your “kennels” are certified. Blah blah blah… Looks like this little pet owner with 2 years of experience learning about her dogs and hearing folks talk about breeders and reputations and pet care/training has learned quite a bit more than you have in your decades… in my humble opinion of course!

Continued prayers that the true evils of these types of situations always come to light expediently for the good of our precious babies.
Peggy, Monkey & Maddie
P.S. I truly hope you continue to try to argue the fact and keep this chain alive for months to come. Perhaps I should make a note on my calendar to go back out and find this thread again in six months and bring it back to the top of our YT list. May God bless your "business" with what He deems appropriate in His wisdom.
Thank you Peggy for this post!!!

I'm catching up on these posts and notice you all mentioned she was suspended...lol Funny thing is around April 2010, I received a letter from a "Law Firm" but then never heard from anyone again. Hhhmmm I wonder if this was even really from a real law firm. Also it stated that I was posting stuff on twitter...lol I have never mentioned her on twitter and I don't even use my twitter acct. If anything I can sue her for slander because things she says I have said are not true and she has changed things. I've been very careful about what I say she says and practically quote her word for word so I'm not afraid to speak up and share what I need to. Nothing this lady says is accurate and she's always changing her stories. I have all emails saved and am thinking I should copy and paste all info on here so you can see just how many crazy things she says. You wouldn't believe just how evil and mean she is! I'm attaching a pic of the letter I received.

Now I know why you should never purchase a pet online. I learned my lesson!
She tried removing my negative response but I showed proof behind mine so the site kept it posted!

Hmm who was the "Law firm" and who signed it. (PM me if you don't want to post it publicly).

I got a letter to cease and desist once. I just sent a letter back asking for evidence. Never heard from them again

I got my Shelby 9/10/08, and within a few hours of bringing her home she started with a raspy cough, would not eat, and began honking when excited. I took her to the vet the following day for a check-up (in the health guarantee it reads the pup must be checked by your vet within 48 hours, or the guarantee is void.) The vet said she had kennel cough and put her on antibiotics for 10 days, and dewormed just to be on the safe side, the vet said if she didn't show improvement in 2 days to come back. She did NOT show any improvements, so I went back and she had an x-ray, showing a mild collapsed trachea (cause of the honking), and fluid on her lungs (diagnosed as an upper respiratory infection). I asked the vet if she could have gotten the URI in my care or if she would have gotten it with the breeder, he said she would have had to be sick before being flown to me, she would have needed a 48 hour gestation period for the infection's symptoms to show. So she would have had the cough before ever leaving the breeder.

It took Shelby about 4 weeks of antibiotics, and nutrical (she wasn't eating so she needing this to get sustenance ) to get over the URI.

When Shelby was about 6 months old, she started chewing on herself (legs, feet, and bum), so bad that she had bald spots, and scabs. I took her to the vet again, and she was diagnosed with allergies, and compacted anal glands (I have to take her to the vet every 6 weeks to have them expressed, and have to buy special dog food, because of all her allergies).

At Shelby's 1 year check-up, she got the recommended blood work, and it came back that she had Lyme disease, yet she'd never had a tick, and had been on Advantix since her first vet visit on 9/11/08. I asked the vet how she could get Lyme without ever having a tick and having been on the advantix. He said it was very unlikely that she got it with being on the advantix. So I had the numbers tested and it was through the roof , about 350(I don't know much the numbers, but it has something to do with how long/bad of an infection it is). My vet said it's very likely Shelby contracted Lyme disease while still with the breeder, seeing as Shelby had been with me at this time for only 9 months, and the numbers for the Lyme test indicated that she had been exposed at least 10 months prior. Shelby went on Doxycycline (SP?) for 30 days and was tested again 6 months later. Her follow-up results were great, the number was 50 (the vet said successful treatment would be if the number went down 50%, and it did and thensome).

Shelby is now 2 years old and a very happy and spoiled pup, and I love her very much, even though, over the course of the first 18 months of her life, we racked up $2000+ in vet bills to treat issues that were attributed to bad breeding, and negligent care by the breeder and the breeder's vet. Including the $900 I paid for her and the $2k vet bills, it is the best $3k I ever spent in my life, because my baby has the best personality around, and is loved by everyone who meets her. I would not change a thing, if I did I wouldn't have my baby, but I would definitely never buy from Connie Fahey again, and I recommend no one else does either.

I thought I did my due diligence in researching breeders, I spoke to Connie's vet and a reference, and saw all her positive feedback of Puppyfind.com, but I was still fooled. I will never again by a puppy from a breeder that I cannot visit. My next puppy (hopefully an xmas present from my hubby) will be from Cathy Cardia at Shenanigans Yorkies, in the next town over from me.

I contacted Connie about Shelby's initial Upper respiratory infection/kennel cough, and collapsed trachea, I was told she must have gotten have gotten it on the plane from another dog, or from the temperature fluctuation in cargo hold, and that collapsed trachea is very common, and most dogs grow out of it. I never fought for a refund of any kind, as I feel it's my own stupidity for buy from such a bad breeder. I should have done a better job in searching for a REPUTABLE breeder.

Shelby still battles with problems with her collapsed trachea (she will honk whenever she gets excited and I usually blow in her mouth and let her lick my face, until she calms down enough to begin breathing normally again) and allergies, and is susceptible to colds, due to being so sick when she was so young, it did a small amount of damage to her lungs.

I recommend being a better buyer than I was, and do not buy from any breeder you can not visit.
I'm so sorry for everything you have been through. I also spent way more on vet bills then I did buying my Lexy and wouldn't give her back for the world. I love her too much and when I asked for my money back from Connie she wouldn't have it. I gave up attempting to get my money back, I think I would be happier getting her shut down then anything. Thank you everyone for sharing your stories!!!

How did I miss this thread? I'm so very sorry for all of the sick puppies that have been purchased from this horrid woman. You are doing a GREAT job of exposing who and what she really is and having a voice for the little ones that have no voice.

Report it everywhere possible and spread what you know to be factual and accurate...investigations take forever so pushing an issue is important0you might surprise yourself how things can turn out with diligence. Have you thought of posting an article about this in the news paper local to the "breeder" or otherwise contacting news media there whom may perhaps help investigate, shed light and or spread the word as well?

Will I never learn to read a thread all the way through?
Anywho I see her old site is down and she ow only sells through puppyfind... I'd send a letter back...I'm not the sharpest light bulb when I get ticked off though, so check with an licenses attorney in your state...slander only applies to unproven or false information...there is no legal ramifications for showing the letter from a law firm...I'd furthermore check the legitimacy of the firm...their letter is rather threatening and based on generalizations and unproven allegations against you...honestly it seems (IMO) a pathetic demand letter obviously intended to be used as a scare tactic...but huh their statements are matter of fact in saying you are spreading false information...did they prove that or are they slandering you? You shoudl seek legal advise immediately.

This is why I won't complete law school-most lawyers make a mockery of their profession representing the scum of society as long as they pay a retainer and or there's a profit to be made.

Hello Everyone! I see that Connie is still at it, she has 18 puppies right now on PuppyFind for sale. Just want everyone who has bought a sick puppy from Connie to post that negative. I had to send copies of all Vet. reports and e-mails directly to PuppyFind to get my negative posted, as well as several calls. If you don't send your paperwork, your negative can be removed by her. Makes you wonder how many she's removed. I hope someday with enough info being sent that she will be shut down!
