bailee was on it for five days and all seemed fine.the meds immediately helped it. when it was done she was fine for a day and then it came back,they put her back on the meds for almost two weeks and knock on wood i think we are ok now...

OMG! i really hope that doesnt happen to me..... how long was bailee sick b4 u got him on the meds? sorry for all the questions lol i hope u dont mind

its no problem!! ask as many questions as u want!!! she was sick about 3 days,she got sick and i thought she had just got into something the next day she was fine and then she became sick again so i took her to the vet..it can be a tough thing to get rid of

Bailey had a similar problem last weekend. He had diarrhea and was vomiting for no reason. He tummy was gurggling. I think it's because he had diarrhea. Maybe you should take him to the vet though? Bailey's only lasted a day and now he's ok. Especially since they can dehydrate so quickly. Just wanted to let you know I've experience the gurggling before and it was from the diarrhea, but I don't know if that's what your baby is experiencing...? Keep us updated...

i think you didnt read through the whole thread but you were right the gurgglind did lead to diarrhea.. & i did take him to the vet & he has giardia =(

giardia is kind of like a puppy stomach bug. It can be passed on from the mother,from drinking contaminated water(this is how most humans get it) or ingesting feces of an infected dog...ex. dog parks,public places,standing water,etc) it is characterized by severe diarhea,yes gross i kno. It is highly contagious so if you have an infected dog it is best to keep them away from your other animals. It can be passed from dog to human but it is not extremely likey as long as you use common sense like washing your hands,not putting hands in your mouth that kind of thing, it can be quite hard to get rid of so cleaning with bleach or lysol is a must!

Thanks for the explanation! I wonder if that's what Bailey had b/c I got something right after he got sick...

haha poor melissa!! i had a stomach bug last week..it was terrible,hopefully its in your head and you feel better asap!!

mine only seemed to last as long as bailey's did.

i am def one of those people who get things in their head and then it starts happening hahha but my tummy does hurt =( i have like a running cramp .. las nite it was really annoying and my bf turns around and goes OMG me too! and we like scream OMG WE HAVE IT!! haha but who knoS? is there meds for humans anyway?
