| Sorry, I don't have any advice on this. I'm just trying to bump your thread up and see if anyone else can help too. Hope he's doing better.

| You have my thoughts and prayers, unfortunately I know little about the ailment...so I'm not much help. Don't worry or stress out, it will be okay. You just need to be informed, I'm certain there are many others on here with experience with this that will help...I hope Prince recovers quickly...

| bailee had this a few weeks ago and it took about 3 weeks to get rid of,it is contagious to humans but i doubt you have it, i did the same with cleaning her messes and all before i realized it and i never got it. I boiled all her plastic toys, washed her towels, pillows and nething she came in contact with. I lysoled everything too.It is highly contagious so it is not your fault at all. Dog parks are good places to get it so my bailee will never set foot in another (she got giardia AND a tapeworm) from that place. Basically, clean clean clean and wash your hands and trust me,you should be just fine. It is hard to get rid of so try to contain him to one area until you are finished with the meds for a few days(bailees came back after the first round of meds and we had to do another) I kno what you mean about him looking fine but you knowing something is wrong. It was the same with me,my bf couldnt see it.give lil prince a hug for me!!and hope he feels better soon!!!

| I have a very hard time with giving Milo liquid medication. There is a Pharmacy in my area that can change liquid medicine into pills than I just hide it in cheese. if it gets to be to hard you might want to ask the Vet if there is anyone in your area who does that. |

| yes, i had to wash all my bedding as well just in case...i wasnt so worried about me getting it cuz that isnt as likely but he can get reinfected easily again...i put the med dropper as far back as i could without gagging her in her mouth, that was the only one to get it in there...they made her peanut flavored but she still hated it

| this morning prince went to the bathroom and it was a normal hard poop.. i guess the medicine is working then. i cleaned everything and vacuumed but now im trying to keep him in his expen and he is sad i dont want him to have full run of the house bc i dont want it to spread everywhere. also, can i give him some toys and then just wash them again??this morning he threw a fit when i gave him the meds and he threw up shortly after. the meds were bright yellow and thats what his throw up looked like. i called the vet and they do have 2 of his meds in pill form so i think we'll be picking those up. |

| I would give him some toys. You don't want him to have no toys. He would get bored.

| I agree with the pill form instead of liquid...Winston will take a pill like a treat...I make him sit and wait for it...he gobbles it right up. Hope that will work for yours as well. Make him think it's a good thing, and hopefully you won't have to force it on him or "hide" it in something to get him to take it. Good luck!!!

| thanks i did give him toys and i guess ill be rotating and washing for a while. He seems fine to me.. except giving him the meds but we have no choice here. He is doing well with his new food i like it much better..it looks and smells like oatmeal. I think he likes it.. Heathermom, my bf said the same thing that if we stopped the meds he would probably have yuck poops again. The bottle says used until finished but there isnt very much medicine in it. It looks like enough for 5-7days. How long was Bailee on medicine for? I dont think he has a really bad case of Giardia, if thats possible? |

| Oh no...I was really hoping that he was just having an off day. Good for you following your Mommy instincts and getting him to the vet right away. (((BIG HUGS))) for both of you. I hope he recovers quickly.
