I just saw this thread! I am in Wichita too! I live at Webb and Pawnee so I am in the general vicinity of your poor lost Yoshi. I do a lot of walking in the neighborhood so I will keep my eye out. I haven't seen any of your flyers, did you post them all over? I did see your ad in the Eagle.

I will definitely keep my eyes peeled and hopefully he will turn up.

I hope that you find him soon , I would keep putting up flyers in this neighbourhood it might jolt someomes memory.

I'd contact somebody higher up at the police department and let them know that you were blown off while trying to report the theft of something valuable. Then I'd file a formal complaint against the department if they still won't do anything.

I had a police officer try to bully me like this once when my debit card was stolen and $900 in charges were deducted from my account-- she kept saying things like "well, do you KNOW the card was stolen and you didn't just drop it?" I couldn't even believe that they were trying to make me into the at fault person when somebody had taken my debit card and charged $900 to it.

Sometimes the police need a kick in the rear, and I think you definitely have grounds to do so if they are trying to blow you off when you need help to recover something valuable that was probably stolen.

I assume you are checking the humane society every day and the animal shelter? (They are separate). I would call the area vets too and alert them that your dog was stolen so that if someone brings in a yorkie, they will be alerted. I missed your other thread, sorry, but does he have a microchip? I know the Humane society scans, but I don't know if vets routinely do.

I just can't believe this is in my city!! Small world. I will certainly be on the lookout. Oh, and I can believe your comments about the police department. :(

I'd put another notice in the paper saying you know he was last seen in that turnpike area (near her home), maybe someone noticed this girl has a new Yorkie and will get suspicious. Maybe her parents will see the notice and contact you. I'd put that info into the hands of everyone in that area it might jog a memory or make someone think about a neighbor who just got a new Yorkie.

the cop listen to it...and was like it sound like a prank to me...and she was like when you post flyers with your number expect to get prank calls from kids...

i had them on every mailbox in the Brentwood South edition...but looks like we are getting rain so after the rain goes away i am reposting in my neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods.

i am so shocked to see another member on YT that lives that close to me...someday we will have to meetup...

i admit yes he was originally lost...and maybe someone found him. But if they are in fact intending to keep him wouldn't that be some sort of theft in a way....because he doesn't belong to them...and i am doing all i can to try and find him...i dunno...i am beyond lost

i am doing all you have suggested and more...yes he is microchipped...and i have contacted most vets in and around this area...today i even went to give groomers flyers...i don't know how much more and what more i need to do. thank you!

I just know that girl has Yoshi. You need to have a friend or you go by to hand the parents a flyer. I bet your Dog is in that house.....

well i have her next door neighbor's kid a flyer who then ran inside to give to their parents...so hopefully i will see or hear something soon.

that is a great idea. also you would think if she had Yoshi wouldn't have parents know he is there? I dunno...i am driving myself crazy!

Go back to that house with a flyer and call out YOSHI!! really loud! Make it a point to say his name really loud several times! Talk to the adult neighbors living next door! If he is there someone will know! I will pray for his return!:animal-pa
