how sad..i cried reading the story. May these two men burn in hell for what they did to poor innocent peanut. I can only imagine what his owners are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

i can't get this story out of my head. i'm so sad and angry. poor peanut! it makes me shudder to think of the unbearable pain he went through. i hope these guys die a slow painful death and burn in hell.

I should have known better than to read the link. I've got a visual in my head I can't shake. No one in there right mind could do something like this. I hope they don't get a single day in jail. I would much rather they spend the rest of their lives in a mental institution. You don't get out of a mental institution for "good behavior". You can't rehabilitate people like that. They're nothing but a $%#@%$# waste of skin and should rot in their padded rooms.

Im almost in tears imagining this poor defensless puppy suffering needlessly..These 2 pieces of garbage need to be tortured and sent to prison and put in cells with pictures of what they did to this poor puppy to look at every day of their sentence. I hope to god they dont get away with this. I cant believe that there are people capable of such evil...My heart breaks, but they better be glad they didnt do this to my baby. I would make it my lifes mission for them to suffer. Sorry for my anger everyone but this story breaks my heart. God bless the family and the puppy tortured. I also signed the petitition. I am also a member of the aspca messages forums and I will be sure to post it there. This is the most sickest thing I've ever read about animal cruelty. They need to get more than two years, they need life sentences.

They don't show any graphic pictures, just a picture of Peanut. I am in tears over this.

In order to prevent cruel and inhumane treatment of animals, I must be able to face what is being done to them. I forced myself to read and was even prepared to view any graphics because there will be a time when signing a petition won't be enough. I volunteer at the local humane association and I know if I was not able to veiw the cruelty our beloved animals have to endure I would not be able to help them.

I just signed the petition as well. That is just brutal. Those are not people that did this, they are ******* (any bad thing I can think of fits in here!)

If you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the article, there are the links that go with it. They were in yellow lettering on my computer here at work. One specifically says it is for the petition. Then you do not have to read the whole horrific story. Thank goodness they did not include the video. I would not want to see it.

I'm fighting tears and my stomach is in knots. Why do such terrible things have to happen?

I wonder if these two young men had a history of mental illness. I have to think anyone capable of such wanton and deviant cruelty must be tremendously disturbed. I don't feel that I can sign the petition because I don't know what happened in the perpetrators' pasts to make them so sick. I hope that whatever happens to them, be it jail time or a mental institution, that they never do anything like this again.
