| ![]() My girl stopped growing taller/longer when she was about 5-5 1/2 lbs and now she's really filling in though still skinny for the most part. Currently at 6.4 lbs, we still get comments on how she still has a "puppy face" and even get asked if she's a "teacup" from those who don't own yorkies but are thinking about it and also from one who has a 14 lb yorkie at home. Maybe they think that because they only see the top half of her during these times when we're actually sitting inside somewhere or walking through a place and have her either in our arms or with her head sticking out of her carrier. And then we've also gotten the "She's not pure, is she?" and I respond with, "You mean because she's a little longer and leggier?" and she responds with, "I've never seen yorkies with that colouring before." Apparently, she's only seen them in black and tan. This came from a cashier working at Petcetera (a chain store much like PetSmart, Petco, etc.). She thinks mine must be a Silky. ![]() Usually, the yorkies I run into on walks are smaller and older than my girl. I do notice the difference from when I first got her at 4lbs, she felt light as a feather to carry without my back/shoulder (when using a bag) or arms hurting. I am a very physically unfit person. ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Don't you wish that you had a roll of duct tape on you at all times, for instances just like this? ![]()

| ![]() My Katy is now 8#'s and my Sophie is 5#'s. I notice also that people gravitate towards Sophie because she is smaller. They don't usually get away with giving her all the attention though because Katy pushes her way right in, LOL. I love them both no matter their size but I am glad they are not too tiny. |
