| ![]() All of the off-color Yorkies I have seen have the coat you all describe. It is not a standard texture from all that I read. My little choc guy has that same coat and I am strongly considering having him neutered and placed in a pet home. He is small and has a cute personality, but I just cannot convince myself that he is breed quality.. Would someone let me know where to find reliable info on the benefit of using the red-leggged Yorkie in a breeding program. Thanx. |

Her hair might be slow-growing, but she certainly is a beautiful girl!

| ![]() There are NO different types of Yorkie's the only difference is Color and coat quality - silky or wooly hair texture......some Yorkie's hair grows faster or slower than others? I have seen a bright RED/ORANGE (literally) & BLACK colored one in person and it was very odd looking she claimed she purchased it from a Pet Store locally. It looked nothing like the pic's you guys posted. in fact I have only seen that one, it's not a very common color at all. But from what I know they are not any different than any other Yorkie? ![]() |

| ![]() Here are a couple pictures of my Elle. The last one is the most recent. Actually I just snapped it a few minutes ago. I talked to my breeder and sent her a few photos and she said it is normal at her age (almost 3 months) to have sparse hair on her muzzle and legs. I just thought I would get your opinion. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() I would consider her a red leg. Here's a pic of another red leg I met a few months ago.. I would like to know what produces this, it seems to come from perfectly normal coated parents.

| ![]() She just has a very very slow growing coat, I don't think she's a red leg. Quote:
