| Thank you sooooo much guys!!! That is exactly what I needed to hear!!! It makes me feel more 'sane'!!! I have invited friends over, but I live out in the country so no one ever wants to drive that far (but I guess its ok for me!). And many of them are still in that 'party' stage, and I'm not anymore. I would so much rather be at home with Wookie than sitting in bar around a bunch of drunk people (I won't drink if I am driving!) acting stupid!!! I will go out every now and then, on a Sat night and be a responsible pet owner!! I waited til I was married and settle to get a dog because I wanted to be a good dog parent. That marriage didn't work out, but I am still determined to be a dog mommy to Wookie! I especially love the comment about friends saying you need a life. You are right, you DO have life, and so do I! This is the life I want, Wookie makes me happier than any relationship (or friendship for that matter) I have ever had. Nothing like that unconditional love!! I guess everyone has their own definition of what 'life' is! Thank you guys!!! I love it that I just have to come in here and talk with people who are just like me! Crazy dog people, as my friends call it!!

| It's funny you say that, because I do have single friends with bigger dogs like labs and pitbulls, older, much bigger dogs....and they really act as if they do not understand why I can't just leave my 3 month, 5lbs puppy at home for more than 4 hours or why I wouldn't want to...so it's not just the friends without pets, it's the friends with bigger pets too. |

| They give us all their love!!! I love being home with my dogs and Calleigh, my Yorkie follows me everywhere, she is like a miniature shadow and I love it. If I go grocery shopping or out with friends, she is waiting at the door and wagging her tail. She is always so happy and glad to see me. I try to find friends who also love dogs, but, well, you know how it is. Love me, love my dog.... |

You know, now that you mention that, I see that too. I have a couple friends who are (supposedly) dog people, but they have no problem just going home, feeding their dogs, walking them, then going back out. And they are all bigger dogs. A couple with German Shephards and one with a Pit Bull. Maybe our little yorkies just require more attention. But I would hope that even if I had a big dog I would be the same way..

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I understand. Im not married but i have a bf and we both take responsibility but when he is working i am with them on my own, all 3 of them and i understand completely. Sometimes ppl ask me to go out and i say no cause i don't want to leave them alone but i feel better now cause they at least have each other and love each other. But still i dont like to leave them alone that much. I feel guilty if i do that, they are my children and ppl that don't have them don't understand, they just don't get it.

| I am a single mom with a high functioning autistic teen.. He is gone at school out of town during the week. I am also disabled. So Suzi is a huge part of our lives. She is 11 months old and we are together the majority of the time. We live in a tiny town and have to go grocery shopping 45 min. away . when we leave all I think About is Suzi, it is so hard just to shop! I hate leaving her! She is my baby and i love her so much. Suzi is the first and only Yorkie I have ever had and I did not know how hard I'd fall for her! I'd ratherstay and be with her all the time then anything else. she is very important to our lives and to my son. The heck with anybody else! As long as I have Suzi and my kid, we ar e Happy

| I totally get it. I am a single mom who is exhausted and thrilled to come home to my two furbabies. They are always happy to see me and vice versa and I love spending time at home with them. I joke to my friends who told me that having two dogs is so expensive. I tell them I am saving a lot of money by going out less and hanging out here with Sadie and Joey!

| My boss told me the day of a meeting that I would have to stay 2 hours later than my time to get off of work. At the time hubby was working in auto sales and was gone for 14 hours a day every day, so I have to go home and take care of my boys. I told him I couldn't stay. He thought I was nuts and made a slide remark about it. I told him that I can leave early, then come back, but I have to take care of them first.

| You are doing great....as a responsable pet owner. How horrible would it be to be left alone for hours and hours. Dont worry about what peolpe say. What is important is that your dog doesnt sit alone all day and night. We are 100% responsable for their quality of life.

I had different dogs throughout my childhood, but nothing like this. I actually prepared for him, made sure I could take care of him, researched all about yorkies, but nothing, nothing could have prepared me for this kind of love! It is unbelieveable!!!!!
