I have invited friends over, but I live out in the country so no one ever wants to drive that far (but I guess its ok for me!). And many of them are still in that 'party' stage, and I'm not anymore. I would so much rather be at home with Wookie
than sitting in bar around a bunch of drunk people (I won't drink if I am driving!) acting stupid!!! I will go out every now and then, on a Sat night and be a responsible pet owner!! I waited til I was married and settle to get a dog because I wanted to be a good dog parent. That marriage didn't work out, but I am still determined to be a dog mommy to Wookie!
I especially love the comment about friends saying you need a life. You are right, you DO have life, and so do I! This is the life I want, Wookie makes me happier than any relationship (or friendship for that matter) I have ever had. Nothing like that unconditional love!! I guess everyone has their own definition of what 'life' is!
