| Dog IQ Test Anybody else seen this? It's an IQ Test for dogs. We ran Penny through it tonight for fun and she scored a 22, which the site describes as "Your dog is smart, but isn't going to Harvard." I guess she'll just need to settle for her safety school. It was really fun-- I think that Penny thought we were playing a game with her. The Animal Attraction - Dog IQ Test

| Livi scored: 26 Over 25 points... Your dog is a genius Huckleberry scored: 21 15 - 25 points.... Your dog is smart, but won't go to Harvard Isabeau scored: 12 (LOL!!!!) 5 - 15 points...... Your dog is not too bright, but is most likely very cute This was too fun!!! My poor Izzy is the complete oposite of Livi. In all fairness, though, Isabeau is only 22 weeks. Let's hope that matters some and she will improve with age. Tammy |

| I see no need to go any farther. Test 1: Let Ellie sniff food. Make Ellie sit. Put food under cup a few feet away. Tell Ellie "okay". Ellie goes to cup and stares and then stares at me (as to say, "There is food under there. Aren't you going to move the cup for me".) and then stares at the cup and then stares at me. Now she is in the kitchen barking at it.

| Heh, I just had a hilarious idea and it actually worked. =P for the part of the test where you're supposed to hold eye contact and then smile at your dog, Penny had not responded to the smile at all last night. I just tried it again-- with her hair up in a topknot this time. Last night it was down and flopped over her eyes. Today, she responded to the smile immediately, ran to me and licked me on the nose. =P I think she just couldn't see me as well yesterday. So, she has two scores now-- 26 with Top Knot, 22 without. LOL.

| I'm still not entirely sure that it was a result of my smiling, or just a random act of licking. She's prone to those.

| It is a very cute test, but have to admit...some of was more luck with Huckleberry. I smiled and yes, he came to me, but quite honestly, I could look at him cross-eyed and upside down and he would still come a runnin'. He also came when the test asks you to cal them, "refrigerator". Livi, on the other hand, is a no-nonsense kind of gal...she looked at me like I had lost my mind when I called her, "refrigerator" and "movies". |

| I quit after test 2, I threw the towel over Brandi and started counting to see how long it would take, well after about what seemed like 2 minutes I lifted up the towel and she was dozing off! In all fairness she is almost 8 yrs old. Should I have told her it was a test? |
