| Dead Yorkie????? I'm not sure if it was a yorkie or not I haven't been able to make myself go back and look. I was coming home this morning from taking my son to school and the drive before our turn off I saw a small dog lying in the middle of the road right on the yellow lines. It looked so much like a yorkie. Mollie was with me and when we got home I just picked her up and hugged her and almost started crying. I think I'm going to get back in my car and go and see if it is a yorkie. I'm really afraid to look because of what kind of shape it might be in. Wish me luck.

| Awww. I feel so bad when ever I see any kind of animal that has been hit. Not matter what kind it is, I hope it didn't suffer.

I know it's awful to see any animal in the road. We lost our last yorkie like that almost 10 years ago and that's what I think of every time I see something lying in the road. I just got back. It is a yorkie. Someone is going to be very upset. I didn't get out of the car I just slowed down enough to see what it was.

| I know this is hard to do, but try and go back and collect up the body. See if it is wearing tags or ID. If it was my beloved pet lying their, I would want to know what happened to him/her, and have the body to bury and grieve over. Also, the thought of my little one just lying there while cars continued to run over it would bother me. If it didn't have ID it would be a nice gesture to bury the little thing just as a gesture of love for the pets that you do have. |

| I always stop when I see an injured animal on the street/sidewalk. Just in case it's still alive & there's somethinG I could do or someone I could contact. I'll pray for you & the poor doggie's family.

| No! I am seriously upset....that is someone's beloved dog. Please call animal control so that they can notify the owners. It is terribly heartwrenching to know that some family is about to get some devastating news......

| That is heartbreaking! I hope it was just some animal, like a rabbit or something, and not someone's precious pet (Not that I don't love ALL animals, but it's harder to bear when it's a pet) |

I wish that were the case I drove by real slow and looked it was most definately a yorkie. All I could think of was when we lost our yorkie Bailey almost 10 years ago now. It is most definately heartwrenching.

| Aww. I know how sad that is. Sat, we went out of town shopping and there was a big dog hit on the side of the highway, it still had a leash and a collar on, So you knew it was someones pet. I thought about it ever since.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I just talked to animal control and the lady I spoke with has a Yorkie and she said that she wouldn't be able to get the tags either. I just can't do it. Anyway, she said she would get someone to take care of it as soon as possible. Thanks again.

| Did you go back to check? You really should go back to see if it was still alive. Every second counts. You might be able to save its life. |
