Donating YT 30K Club Member | I just watched a fellow YT'ers baby for 10 days. She flew in from Boston to Chicago on Friday afternoon and spent the night and got Haruka settled and left for an emergency trip to Japan. Haruka was quiet the first day or so but each day played more and interacted with my girls. So they do miss you but they do ok. So try and not worry.

| Same with me !! I understand Hi there ! I am so glad I came across your posting. I am leaving tomorrow ( feb 7th) for an 8 day trip to the Dominican Republic. I am very excited for the trip but leaving my Maggie makes me very sad and anxious. My parents are taking her .. she is very used to them as they spoil her and we are often at their house. I worry about Maggie thinking I am never coming back. I don't know how to leave her to go to the airport. Do I make a fuss or just go as though I am leaving for work?? I am even delaying packing because I am afraid of her realizing something is going on. Maggie is going to be 2 in the spring and she is also very attached to me. Its just the 2 of us at home. She has helped me through a difficult time in my life. I am worried that I am too attached to HER. ... I know she will be well taken care of ... and even spoiled ... but it makes me very unhappy to leave her . All this to say that I know EXACTLY how you are feeling. What do to ? |

| I agree with the others. See if you can bring her over for some visits where you go out for an hour or so. This way she'll see that you come back, and make her less anxious.

YT 1000 Club Member | Ohhh goodness...I know how you feel!!! It's sooo hard!! I had never been away from KiKi excpet to go to work and last Oct...I went away for 17days!! KiKi was sick for the 3 days before we left...she must have sensed something..and I was a total wreck...When I said good-bye to her...and told her be a good girl...I got in the car and cried like a baby!! It was SOOO HARD!!!! At least she got to stay in her own home ....with my daughter and son...and she was just fine....she ate well and played. When I came home...we rolled on the floor together like two little kids!! It's too bad she lives far away..just make sure to take lots of things that are familiar to your fur baby and bring a shirt or something with your scent on it ....put it in it's bed...having your scent will be comforting. Get some Nutri-Cal too...in case she stops eating...this will help supplement.... Have a great trip..and don't worry too much...
