| I'm leaving Stomper... You guys...I am so upset and worried. I am leaving this Wednesday for 5 days to attend a wedding in MO. Stomper will be left in CA (at our house) with a friend of mine. We are giving her $ to stay at our house (I thought it would be less stressful for Stomper) PLUS we are getting a dog walker for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I hope he doesn't get too sad. That really makes me upset to think of it... What if he thinks we are not coming back??! This is our first time away from our "baby". I am so nervous. She has never had a dog before. I left her (don't laugh) a 2 page "Stomper Instructions/Suggestions" that include info on feeding, pills, water, dog door, when she leaves the house, potty time, bedtime, dog across the street (visits), my dad visiting, special puppy notes/reminders and 7 contacts (including two vets) in case she needs advise or needs to get in touch with me! I'm so worried that something will happen to my baby when I am gone. Is this natural or am I being a big baby????

| What you are feeling is TOTALLY natural. Don't feel bad for worrying about your 'baby'. Looks like you have all of the bases covered. Enjoy your wedding and your baby will be thrilled to see you when you return |

| If you change your mind, don't think twice about it! It would be more than happy to bring him to see you everyday or you could stay with us too. Think about it. (I am totally normal and not a derranged serial killer or anything.)

| I left Brody for a week and I freaked out about from the day I bought my tickets until we got back from vacation. When I got home though, I realized that he was perfectly fine. I also left several pages of instructions. Even things like "Please look before you sit down so you don't sit on Brody." He stayed with my dad who brought him back and forth between my house and his. My dad said that when they got to my house, Brody would run through the house looking for us, then he would look out the windows, but then he would go on about his business. I bet your baby will be fine! Its harder on you than on him. I am going on vacation again in November and I was telling my friend that she might have to puppysit for me and she said, "When I babysit, he is not going to be spoiled..." then she went on to talk about how she isn't going to baby him like I do. I was like "OKAY! You're marked off the dog sitting list." So as long as you trust your friend to treat your baby the same way you do, I'm sure he'll be fine.

| You are not being a big baby at all. You are being a great mommy. I think he will be happy at home. Of course he will miss you so when you get back be ready for tons of kisses. It is great that you are so prepare. It will be a good idea to let your friend socialize now with Stomper before you go so it will be easier on him. |

| You are not being overly worried, I think leaving Chloe was the worst. She was set up at a local Bed and Breakfast for dogs, no kidding. I left separately packaged food, snacks, instructions, called them etc. I specifically said I included much more food than Chloe needed. When we got home, her "report card" said she was a piggly wiggly, had been given all the food and of course, ate it. Next time, I paid my sister in law to come to my house. |

Just keep thinking about when you get back home and the welcome home reception you will be getting. I've never seen Mollie so excited. When we went out to the car and my friend was going to pick her up to tell her bye she ran to the backseat and wouldn't let me pick her up until I got in the car closed the door and put my seat belt on. Just in case I was thinking of not taking her home. She wasn't taking any chances.
