| I've got a weird situation here Annie has decided to stop drinking water from her bowl and will only drink from my wife's water glass, not mine either or the bowl. She will go all day without water until we give it to her from the glass. Has anyone else had this happen? |

| hi there, I have not seen One to refuse water if not in a glass, I think she has been 'trained" or prefers a glass... i'd simply place the glass of water on the floor for her.

| My sister's cat, Lucy, is like that too. She will only drink out of my sister's water glass. She has even tried to drink outv of her water bottle!

| Honestly, I would try to get her to stop. It is cute, but what if there ever is something in the glass other than water that could hurt her? My cousin was letting his cat drink out of his water glass, but I brought this up to him to and got him to stop. I would just leave the water bowl on the floor and she'll drink when she gets thirsty enough.

| I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. She will only drink when my wife holds the glass. Putting a glass down next to the bowl doesn't work. I realize that sooner or later she will have to drink or die, but I'm worried that she will do damage to herself before that happens. |

| Maybe she doesn't like to get her face all wet....... some dogs are like that. You could get her a water bottle stand (or make one) and try something like that! (I said make one, because the ones that are pictured in this shortcut below are pretty expensive. (but it may be just what she needs!!!.... that is the case with my friends Shihzu.) Here is the shortcut: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...tle-stand.html

| They have a cheaper version for the watter bottle stand...it is not really a stand..you have to clip it to a playpen or a crate's door but you have to change the plastic water bottle every so often coz it is not good to use it for a long period of time.

| wow, i have never heard of that before! I have noticed with Fiona that sometimes she will not eat a treat when my boyfriend gives it to her, and I have to give it, and vice versa! She is an odd ball sometimes! Maybe you need to change her bowls? we bought Fiona plastic bowls when we first got her, and she wouldnt touch the food or water, so i got stainless steel ones, and she loves them! good luck!

| heheheheheheh i tell people that they smart and they can train humans so easily.... kkkkk... That is the proof. You will figure it out soon or later... but i can tell you that it can not go on.... it starts with the water then in no time she will come up with a new idea and then another ... you will be bossed around to her ways and it can become overwhelming.
