| Need to vent!! I have some good news first. My dad has agreed to help me out with some vet expenses to do some blood work and figure out what is going on with my baby. I know he will help as much as he can so that is going to be great. I am also going to pick up a babysitting job where hopefully I will make an extra couple bucks to put forward also. It is literally driving me crazy, I hate to say this but I really don't think my baby is going to live very long I don't know if that makes me sound like a bad mom but that is how I feel. I got a phone number to a good vet I am going to call tomorrow. I have become pretty good with the petstore I go to get food at and they have told me the vet I go to is not very good and they would not recommend me going there. They said that they have heard from several customers that they are just not in it for helping the animals, more in it for the money. I even was told that it has come up that they have suggest to people to put their pets down and spend the money on a new one because it would save them money. I don't know but to me that is just harsh. I was told twice on two different occasions to put her to sleep. And once that I should give her back to where I got her from. I have stopped giving her the antibiotics they gave me for her because I just don't feel he KNEW what he was giving them for. Now she was constipated yesterday and today and it was so painful to watch, she was really hurting. I called them and he told me to give her pumkin and take her for a walk or bring her in. They just don't even really want to talk much on the phone. I have heard good things about this new vet and I am hoping they will be able to give me some second opinions and help figure out what is right for Stormy. Now I was really upset today when Stormy was all constipated, I had to go to my moms house to do some laundry and hang out. She got all mad at me because Stormy was constipated. It's like she was blaming me for it, I think she is just tired of hearing all the bad things about her, I just felt a little bummed because it seems like noone in real life understands. I love this little dog so much and I am doing the best I can for her. I should of been more careful when I got her but what is done is done. I have been thinking about emailing the previous owner but I know she probably will not answer or say what she always says and that is that Stormy was fine before. It just doesn't make sense that a dog that was " healthy" would start to have all these issues now aside from her nose which I know was all my fault. So on a good note she did take a poop at my moms house, we were massaging her belly and putting warm cloths on her stomach. She let out a few good farts and then after a little while we found a very hard stool on the floor. It MAY of been Annabelle but my mom said she doesn't usually poop downstairs and it was in a spot that Stormy would usually go. Sorry for the vent!! |

| You sound like you are such a good mom that is in alot of pain. Stay focused and try to go with your heart and insticts. I would get a side job to pay for things. I would love to work at a Petstore but may spend my whole check there. Good luck and prayers are headin your way.... |

Thor's Human Donating Member | I'm sorry, sweetie. A lot of people don't understand how important our animals are, and can't appreciate the attachment we form with them. As hard as this is, your dog is lucky to have you looking out for her. For constipation, can you give her a few beans? That should move things right along. If I were you, I would contact her former owner, maybe she will surprise you. She might have information, or offer to pay some vet costs. If she says the dog was fine before, well, you haven't lost anything. I really hope you will find some answers with a better vet. Good luck to both of you! |

| Good luck with the 2nd opinion! Bailey's health hasn't challenged me yet...knock on wood...but I know that some ppl just don't understand how we have such strong feelings for these little fragile things. Keep us posted on Stormy's progress. We may not know all the answers - but we know how you feel. Hugs!!!

| She has gone poop, I have mixed some pumkin in with her wet food. I haven't really changed it. She was on Natural Balance dry kibble when at the beginning of the week she decided to refuse to have any part with it. She had woken up and was very sleepy/drowsy looking. I had brought her into the vet thinking it may be an ear infection, we were told there was minor redness in her ear and the vet gave her some antibiotic drops in her ears. He suggested we give her just some oral antibiotics because she would possibly have an infection inside her nose like sinus' or something to that matter. Since then she seemed to be getting some what better but the side effects of the medication were making her vomit so I stopped giving them to her. Then last night I realized that she had broken a blood vessel in her left eye in one corner. It doesn't seem to bother her too much and looked a bit better today then it did yesterday but today she was extremely constipated. Walking around hunched over making little noises I ran to the grocery store and bought some pumkin which I have been giving her a bit today and having her walk around like the vet told me on the phone to do. The regular vet she has been seeing at the clinic is in tomorrow so I will give him a call, he is really nice and has been charging us very little but I feel he may be doing that because he thought she should of already died so. Good news that she has went poop, I just gave her a warm bath and belly massage, she is resting on my lap right now, poor baby . Thank you all for the support and help. I appreciate it soo much!! I have been looking for work since I've been laid off but it is SOO bad in my City, there isn't much. Nothing in my field at the moment so I am looking for anything. And now how oddly I am having car troubles again, seems when things start going good they always turn around and go wrong again for me. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | You are a great mom!! I am sad to hear you say that you are not a good mom, because your baby is SOOO lucky to have you!! If it weren't for you, she might be a lot worse off!! By doing everything you can, and doing the best you can, you are GREAT! Just keep your thoughts up, and we'll be praying for you and your little one. I HOPE you find a better vet! That first one sounds like a nightmare! Have you thought about pet insurance?? Maybe that could help, financially?? Good luck, my thoughts and prayers are with you! Lola sends your baby a kiss . Keep us posted please!! |

| I wish I could have pet insurance but with her health I do not think she could get it. I am just finding things out as we go about her health and body, she has been through alot from broken ribs to even the way her legs stand are not right. Her poor little body is totally messed up and they can't fix what has been done to it The sad part is, I guess the inside is just as bad as the outside it is turning out. |

| You sound SO sad and frustrated. My heart breaks for you. Stormy is so lucky to have you, you care SO much for that sweet little girl. I just showed hubby her pics. He said "that's a cute little one", and it takes alot to impress him! Give your little baby a snuggle from Missy and I.

| Please dont be so hard on your self. You are a good mommy, and Stormy needs your love and support. She is a beautiful little girl. Don't give up on her. She has breath in her little body, courage, and fight. Both you and she will be in my prayers.

| I can totally relate to that seeing as Missy is "broken" today too. It's very hard to watch an animal be in pain or not feeling well. It must be especially hard for you because it's just one thing after another. All you can do is your best right? And you are doing that. Keep your chin up

| Awww, you and Stormy are a team...that's for sure. Sounds like Stormy has the best mommy on Earth. I'm sure you'll find a good vet that will make you both feel much better. I hope you find a job soon. It must be that God knows Stormy needs you right now and so he's giving you a little time off to be a mommy. We're all proud of you. |
