I also called their main number and the lady told me we will have to go thru Deena Howard rescue coordinator in order to get info. I think if we tell her to give that rescue a call for us because there are lots of us willing to donate for her care...What do you guys think.

I left her a message saying just that! I would say that everyone who can should call and do the same!

I'm not familiar with rescues so to those who are; why are they so secretive about giving out the name of the rescue who has her? With so many people wanting to help financially I would think the rescue who has her would want that information made available.

I would think it is more that they shelter is so overwhelmed with dogs that they have assigned a specific person to deal with rescues. There's a lot of work to get a dog out of a shelter with paperwork etc. The person answering the phone probably just doesn't have the information that we need. This seems like a HUGE shelter with a lot of animal. If you go onto petfinder they have 4 or 5 pages of dogs of all breeds in their shelter all at different lengths of time they have been there. The entire process is just very sad.

I was misunderstanding it as the contact person wouldn't disclose the information. I can't imagine what an overwhelming job they have.

OK....now here is the scoop. I asked the girl who answered why we could not have the name of the group....was it because she did not have it or because she cannot give it out. It is because it is their policy...they are not allowed to do so. She did assure me that Deena would call us back...she just happens to be off today! So, I feel better about that!
Hopefully, we will hear something in the next day or so.
Oh..and it is not a yorkie rescue...but, I do not know what type of rescue it is.

No...maybe she is still out? I don't know. I do hope she calls. Maybe we can start searching petfinder and see if she shows up. I surely hope so!
