YorkieTalk Newbie! | crooks use Pets such as Yorkies, Bulldogs, Boxers, Maltese om scam If you have received an Email, or responded to an ad involving Pet or Puppy adoption coming from but not limited to Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Canada, UK and many other countries in Europe as well as those who claim to be in the USA, you are dealing with a crook in a very common SCAM designed to steal your money. Those criminals who claim they are in the USA and ask for money to be sent by Western Union or Money gram to foreign countries, are not!! They are all based in foreign countries. These SCAM artist almost always claim to be with the USO,or missionaries who originate from the U.S. Most of the time these crooks use Pets such as Yorkies, Bulldogs, Boxers, Maltese, Birds and Monkeys as common bait in this SCAM. We are in NO WAY Affiliated with these criminals, and they do not work for our company. We never ask for a MoneyGram or Western Union as a form of payment. We do NOT HAVE A "INVERNESS" BRANCH. Although we move Pets worldwide all of our offices are in the USA. It seems that Canadians have become a popular target! Ads found in Newspapers for Pet adoptions, followed by Emails claiming that AnimalsAway will be handling the shipping OF PUPPIES OR PARROTS ARE A COMPLETE FRAUD!! We do NOT KNOW OR HAVE ANY AFFILIATION WITH THESE CRIMINALS!! CAMAIRLINES IS A FAKE NAME MADE UP TO STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! Most of these ads are for Puppies and Parrots, but any and all types of pets are SCAMS!! If a criminal claims to be with Animals Away please check here on this BLOG to see if their contact information matches ours, if not it is a SCAM. If you have been contacted by one of these crooks, please contact us before you send them anything! Again we do not accept Western Union or Money Gram as a form of payment EVER!! We would never ask for a payment of any kind to be sent to any country other than our office in the USA. Please leave a comment on this Blog to warn others of this SCAM. If it sounds too good to be true IT IS! Here is a link to our blog with more information on this SCAM.

| I am in South Africa and was targeted by one of these scams just this month...the scammer was in the US and offering to sell us Yorkie pups for R2500, which is about $250. Because I am an American and I know what Yorkies cost in the US, I knew immediately that it was a scam, but I fear other people in Africa may not and be tempted: top quality female Yorkie pups sell for R4500 to R5000 here ($450 to $500). I think the smartest move is to distrust any solicitations that do not come from someone you know and if you are answering an ad, do your homework before parting with any money, no matter where in the world the seller might be.
