Sorry when I used the word biased I meant it didn't seem biased. Probably every book and article out there is biased in some way, but Wikepedia seems like a fair site. I have no knowledge of the actual differences between the clubs, and reading about the differences gets weary, but the Wikipedia site does give links to several clubs where someone could do more research. If the link to your club isn't listed, you could request this. There is also a discussion feature where they are asking for more input. Many Yorkietalk members just want to know the very basics when asking a question such as what are the differences between a Yorkie and a Biewer. They are not yet interested in all the drama behind the scenes. I think if there were less drama some of the rest of us would like to learn more.

Couldn't you just answer the OP's question, and say something like, "actually there is much discussion on whether or not the yorkie and the biewer are two different breeds, there are some Biewer clubs that believe abc and some who believe xyz, and then state what you believe? Or just state what you believe. Giving us a definition on the word biased doesn't really seem to help.

Speaking down to the members of this forum as though we are uneducated peons does not help resolve problems. You would achieve a lot more if you just answered the question instead.
You are right that the BTCA believes that this breed is separate from the Yorkie but we are all in agreement that it did evolve from the Yorkie and is now a close cousin to the Yorkie.
A simple email from Mars to someone cannot replace the hours of teleconferencing that has actually taken place between Mars and the BTCA and all of the scientific paperwork and research papers we have received from them. We are not talking about the simple test you send in from your vet. By keeping an open mind far more will be achieved. We can see that some are starting to get what the BTCA has been saying and are dropping the Yorkshire Terrier from their dogs and club names.

You did not start an argument , the arguement has been going on for a loooooong time, lol. Please don't feel that way. There are many members here with Parti Yorkies and with Biewers. If you want to know more about the differences/similarities in the actual dogs, (not who is right or who is wrong or which club is the almighty, and which is not, lol) I'm sure many of these members will be happy to talk about their "kids". If you go to the top of the page and use the search and type in Parti or Biewer, you will find tons of threads, some similar to this one, and many that are not. The Biewer Terrier is a cousin to the Yorkshire Terrier, and this is the audience that is interested in the Biewer Terrier.

You just asked a question. The answer to that question depends on who you ask. As you can tell, there is no universal agreement on it at this point. Unfortunately, no one can offer their views and opinions regarding the situation without being "challenged" by someone else and the whole ordeal turned into an argument. I tend to think that most of the members here on as pretty intelligent creatures capable of forming their own opinions and beliefs without having to have one line of thought being forced upon them, but hey, apparently some feel otherwise.
