| 7 week old pup I've been offered a 7 week old pup.. Im just not sure if 7 weeks is too old.. Its a batch of 2 guys and 1 girl.. Super small and cutie pies.. They are eating puppy food already but im concerned that 7 weeks is WAY too young to be taken away from its mom.. Can anyone help? family is ready to take in one more dog so Max has a playmate.... |

| 7 weeks old IS too young. That's how old Missy was when I got her (I didn't know any better). You should ask if they will keep the puppy with it's Mom a little longer. They should be with their Mommy until 12 weeks of age. We had alot of problems with hypoglycemic episodes because I had Missy too early. It was very stressful, and at times I thought that I could end up losing her.

| They aren't willing to keep the puppy a little longer? It might be worth asking.

| Yeah seven week is very young. You should ask her to wait until the puppy is at least 10 weeks. But there is some breeders out there that sell their puppies earlier so they won't have to give them certian shots. So be careful! |

| They probably want to have the puppies be sold and not have the responsibility any more But if you think the pups are healthy and you are ready to take on that responsibility tell them that you want one pick him or her out and leave them with a deposit I wouldn't take a pup at least before 8 weeks otherwise you're making a hard job harder
