My Callie is a teapot but honestly I have no idea how tall she is but shes 13 pounds. She still is really small to me. The first pictures show her in refrence of other things like in the soft indoor dog house and next to a stuffed animal and the third picture is an old one but shows how long her legs are and the last one kinda shows how tall she is lol

Molly is a teapot weighing in at 14lbs. She measures about 14inches from base of neck to the start of her tail, but her legs are quite short, so i think she looks tiny. Im trying to post some pictures but it keeps saying they are too big. i have to wait till my sons home from uni so he can help me make them smaller!

My Dougal dog is about 6kg (erm 14lbs?) and he stands exactly 27.5 CM (We've had him measured for agility!) which I think is a smidge under a foot.

Dixie supposedly is only 2cm (1") shorter than Dougal but she weighs about 7lbs (under 4kg). But I think she was standing on her tip toes when she was measured!

But as for who's the boss - It's not Dougal. We can't throw his toys near her because if he goes to get them she attacks him! If you do get a toy near her Dougal just looks plaintively up at you to go get the toy for him.!!

There really aren't such things as a teacup or teapot Yorkies...... Many breeders advertise "teacups" for sale to get a big price for a small Yorkie. I think that the name "TeaPOT" is being used as a "slang" word for a bigger Yorkie...... (bigger than the standard 4-7 pounds).

i believe jackson will be a teapot! LOL. at 12 weeks, he was 6 pounds already and i think he's gained a bit since then in the last 2 weeks. i'm really glad he's bigger, i didn't want a tiny fragile yorkie!

Walker's a tea pot.

He's about 9" tall. long legged beast. and about 14" long. He is 5 months old and weighs about 11 pounds.

My Lola is 9.6 pounds. She's very long, lean and muscular. I have to buy medium clothes for the length only. Their too big around but I have no choice. If you look at my album you can see her stretched over the back of the couch.

the word "teacup" came from breeders trying to use it as a marketing tool to get more money for smaller dogs.

now, its all over the media as the "it" thing. as in the smaller the better

It is sometimes offensive to true yorkie owners and to breeders who breed for the breed and not for the size and money.

But here on YT we know the difference and use teacup and teapot for fun since we are not using the words as marketing tools, making money or being hurtful.

I personally like the word teapot.

Its just a cute word to describe "bigger" yorkies.

Mine will probably be a teapot too, since at 12 weeks he weight in at 4 and a half pounds. The vet projected him to be about 10 pounds at full size. Does anyone have pics of their teapots with themselves? It would be easier to get an idea of scale.

No problem.

He's a good arm full when you pick him up and takes up the entire bed so I think he likes to use his size to its full advantage.

Even a 20lb yorkie would still be a small dog-I just love "teapots" they have such a cuddly teddy bear look to them and can be squeezed and seem to be better behaved around kids! Mika is a doll and great with my four kids, I'm not sure if she's done growing yet, she hovers between 8/9lbs and has done for months but she may have another growth spurt yet. I don't mind one bit, how could I object to more "Mika"!!!

What a beautiful teapot you have.
