| No, it is a one time fee. If you move or change phone numbers just call the microchip company and update your address and/or phone.

| I use both for my babies... The tag because it's quick &easy for people to see. And the chip in case he's stolen or people don't want to return him. (hopefully the vet would ask for proof of sale/adoption). But both are only good if the people who find them WANTS to return them... So I always keep a close eye on them.

| I have both, microchip and tags. I feel a lot more comfortable knowing he's micro chipped amd a vet can check for it.

| My Sophie is micro chipped and has a tag. Like a previous poster I was advised not to put her chip information on the tag (in case whomever took her was able to change the information via a phone call). Sophie's tag are her license and a tag with her name and my cell phone number.
