My "adorable" dog is so manipulative, I don't know if I'm proud of her for being so smart or irritated because it's so annoying!

She knows that when she goes poo outside when she comes inside she gets a treat. Well, whenever she wants a treat she acts like she has to go pee, then go outside and trickle a bit then jump around like she deserves a treat! That's changed real quick...

Now, I have her "sitting" and I can get her to sit for a short period of time, but get this- she will only do it if I have a treat in my hand or am near the treat bag.

I love that booger.

My neighbor's dog does the same thing. Jasmine (a beautiful 4lb yorkie)knows that if she goes potty outside she will get a treat. So what she does is act like she is pooping. But when you go to look there's nothing there. She knows she gets a treat for pooping outside. Smart little buggers!

Jasmine's owner doesn't like a lot of people picking her up (mainly strangers that Jasmine doesn't know or very small children...very protective of Jasmine). Jasmine is very sociable and lovable. So if Jasmine wants to get picked up by someone, what she does is go sit by her mommy and slowly inches her way over to the person she wants to be picked up by

. Each time she inches her way to them, she stops and looks back to see if her owner is going to stop her.n she realizes her owner is not going to stop her, she inches up another step or two. This goes own until she is sitting in the person's lap. My neighbor and I watch this all the time and it cracks us up everytime Jasmine does it.

By the way Jasmine is the reason I got a yorkie, I used to dog sit her and absolutely fell in love with the breed.

I like them being manipulative coz it cracks me up. I usually do not like my dog jumping all over strangers and asking to be picked up by strangers either and sometimes I carry him in my arms so that other people do not pick him up and run away with him

BUT he found a new way to manipulate me. He coughs and hacks and acts like he is choked until I put him on the ground and then right away he stopped coughing/hacking/choking! I was like maybe it is a coincidence but it has already happened a few times so I know he is just doing it so that I will put him down. Sometimes I really wonder what is the small little brain thinking of..how could they come up with so many tricks?

Lexi was the same way haha! So I started treating her sometimes and not others. One thing she does, is if someone has something she wants she'll start going through all of her tricks. First she'll sit, then lay down - followed by rolling over and speaking. Repeat.

I'm trying to get her roll over, but every time I try to roll her she gets to excited for the treat and won't let me roll her! LoL
