He does!! It's so cute!! And he usually has to be jumping on his hind legs as he "smiles" too. It's the only time I've ever seen him bare his teeth, and yet it doesn't look scary like a yorkie that is baring their teeth as a warning, like my MIL's yorkie does. If I ask him for "smiles" he tries really hard and you can see the muscles tensing up on the corners, but he doesn't quite get the teeth showing on demand.

Candy tries really hard to do it on command too, she just can't quite do it. So cute!

I really think this is a smile on Bella while she was getting a kiss from little bro Luigi. After I took the pic then looked at it I cracked up laughing. If its not a smile i don't know what is.

I'm yorkiesmiles for a very good reason -- my Roxy will smile - show all her teeth. She smiles usually in the morning & when I come home -- other times too when she's happy or I ask her to smile -- she also does a partial smile - kind of a snarl that I call her Elvis snarl - and she will do it too if I ask her to do the Elvis Snarl

SpiceE has more of a smirk, like a catch me if you can kind of look. It is usually just before he goes and brings a toy to me to tell me it is time to play. He snores a lot too.

Of course it is a smile!!! Maybe not the kind we do, but us parents know when they are happy! For that matter, all my dogs smile, but it looks different in all of them. Some show teeth, some make mouths stretch, and Princess does the "Elvis snarl" like I read earlier in another post. It looks like a yorkie smile to me It makes me feel the same way I did when my kids smiled at me for the first time. (remember that, moms?) There is nothing like that feeling. Priceless!

I have a silly one of Cooper smiling in his album, but I cant get it to post here. When we walk in the house he just starts smiling with all his teeth showing, it is so funny!
