wow this is a mess, i signed the petition, i don't believe for one second that this woman is a rescue and i honestly think she is a very bad person for calling what she does rescue work, she is selling sick puppies bound to die on their owners for money. if she were truly a rescue she would CARE about the dogs and wouldn't have adult dogs in a kennel out back with 20 puppies in a non residential "show house" that's not any better than a pet store window!! she's a bad woman and no one should stick up for something like this...unless they themselves know what color pajamas Jenny wears hmmmm....

I had found Kasey, reported to be a yorkie/pap pion mix on Petfinders.com and was told she was a "puppy mill pull". Of course within days after my little girl passed away I was able to find out that Jennifer was nothing more than a puppy mill broker.

My family was crushed when we lost Kasey. It was the second pet we had lost in less than 4 months. We had lost a 15 year old mix from cancer and old age and we were not even sure if we could adopt again after we lost two animals in such a short time.

I did however make a pact with my son that I would see that Kasey did not die in vain.

This however was not easy since everyone in the county basically blew off any complainant. But as a disabled police officer, I would not be discouraged from continuing.

In May she was raided and arrested. Even though the judge gave her very specific conditions for bond, Jennifer is breaking every condition and when she was arrested for bail jumping the judge said he was "too busy" to handle it.

If I were to give you all the entire story I would need an index because of all the work I have done over the past year. I would be so very happy to give more details or provide documents if anyone would like to read them. My file is huge now...But I won't stop.

So I post tonight with a request. I am sorry I usually try to catch up and get to know people before I ask a favor but I have started a petition to give to the judge with hopes that he would read stories and do everything that he can to give her the maximum penalty possible.

I am going to put the link here and hope that you all would possibly sign. This woman is pure evil and even though I spent less than a lot of people did my cost was still high and my emotion loss indescribable.

You know after reading this blog from the first post I feel the need to clarify some facts as a human victim of Jennifer's. Because I knew my initial post would be very long there was a LOT of information I did not include.

It appears to me that the "reporter" that posted has taken the slant on Jennifer's behalf. After over 20 years in law enforcement, I not only investigated this thoroughly but for well over a year.

Jennifer did adopt out animals for well over the reported $275 because my Kasey was $350. While I didn't think that was too much I did expect that Kasey had been vetted since Jennifer claims my puppy was fostered with a vet friend of hers.

I did wonder from time to time if this was indeed the case since she could not provide photo updates and I was told I could not visit with Kasey for her health. Odd if she was fostered with a vet and even many telephones have cameras. They are not that expensive and pictures should have been easy enough to get and transfer to the prospective families.

I was NEVER told that she would take Kasey back had she become sick. Instead when I called Jennifer as soon as she got sick I was told it was my fault and that she had been vaccinated.

Kasey did spell absolutely terrible when I brought her home. She was not in the puppy house that I saw but in the back of that truck by herself. I do believe she was separated from the other puppies because Jennifer knew she was sick.

When I started to ask questions from legitimate rescues and put my name out there as someone that wanted to talk to other victims, I was able to find two other victims right away. Both of them adopted their puppies the same day we got Kasey. Funny both were different breeds and again separated from the group of puppies she was showing others.

Much of what was written in the "support" posts are things I have found posted on other blogs that have my story.

It is said that the sheriff's department "unfounded" all our reports. The only reason something was finally done was because the humane society did an undercover investigation and they could NOT dispute what was happening there.

The Dane County Humane Society told me that they had taken in animals from Jennifer that clearly shown behaviors of puppy mill dogs. The only dogs Jennifer would send were ones too old to breed and/or sell to adoptive families like myself. They even admitted to me that they tried to educate Jennifer and with no luck because she continued to purchase more animals, mostly puppies.

I did email both the DCHS and the DNR right away after Kasey died and although they did "scheduled" inspections and things looked decent both said Jennifer had way too many domestic animals.

It is apparant that DCHS was asked to work with the HSUS by their local representative, the Richland County authorities would have continued to ignore this issue had Dane County not brought video evidence to their attention.

This was NOT an important issue to them at all. I know that with the numbers of complaints that were recieved should have been enough but sadly it was not.

As far as the Thorpe Auction it is a fact that she was there and bid AGAINST legitimate rescues who were only looking to rehab their breeds. The legitimate rescues had tried to adopt their breeds from Jennifer and she had declined to adopt those animals to them even if they had medical issues and that would make them harder to adopt out IF Jennifer disclosed their medical issues. I know for a fact that legitimate rescues work together for the best interest of the animals....she did not! Forutenately we do not think Thorpe will be auctioning any more dogs. I am not sure if it is because of the current legislation that will be heard at the capital on Wednesday of next week or not. Of course we are all hoping that Thorpe will not be auctioning any more animals EVER!

We were working with Petfinders.com and I had over an hour long conversation with one of it's founders. She was able to speak with other victims like myself and it was around February that the Thyme and Sage part of her business was not longer able to list. However when she was raided she was able to list the animal control animals. Funny but the records show she only took in 5-7 animals from January to May, she had 4 times that many listed on Petfinders. We were again looking to have Petfinders removed her post but of course it was not necessary in the long run.

I have a ton of information on just about every facet of this issue and while I am still familiarizing myself with rescue work and the legislation being worked on, I will not stop working on these issues even after Jennifer is sentenced. We need laws in every state and of course then making sure that the laws are enforced....One day at a time...
