| ![]() Good morning YT! I have a few questions... My yorkie will be 2yo in a couple of months and is still black and tannish/gold. He has some grey on top of his head, but that's about it. I don't mind this one bit, but I do have a question about it: If his black coat hasn't changed to the grey/blue which is standard for yorkies, was he poorly bred? His coat is very full and fluffy, not thin at all. I do bathe him once a week which might contribute to his hair not being as glossy as I've seen. Is the glossiness natural or is there something specific you must do to achieve this? His food is Orijen which I've heard is good for their coat, but I haven't really seen a difference. He's been on it for 3 months or so. His hair is pretty short, about 2 inches or so right now. After his bath, when I'm drying him, I always notice that the hair on his lower back is a bit wavy. Once it's dry, it's not as noticable, but it's kinda funky. BG: I got Tokes from a breeder. She had two pups, both boys. We both drove half way, about an hour each to meet up and see if it would work out. She gave me his AKC papers although I did not register him. She didn't seem shady at all. I found her on a local newspaper website. Her number was still active when I referred another client to her. So, I'm pretty sure she isn't a backyard breeder. Thanks, I know this was a long read! |

| ![]() Blue and gold is the standard colors but alot of our yorkies arent the standard colors. There are a couple of things you can do to make the coat glossier. One is to add a suppliment with omega fatty acids. Another is to buy an oil like plush puppy seabreeze oil; and put it on their coats

| ![]() Good morning! I am new to this site and I am so happy I found you. I have a 13 year old male yorkie named Dacha. He is very sick ![]() He has conjested heart failure. He is on meds but I have been told that there is nothing more that can be done for him except keep him calm and keep him cool. I have been to another vet and she said the same thing. It is very hard to face giving up your best friend. We have been thru alot together (Enuff Is Enuff). On this website it tells you about Dacha's story. I just can't part with him. Can anybody else give me advice Most sincerely, ![]() |

| ![]() Gracie Ruth and Yogi's dad didn't have the silver/blue color either. Manolo's body is very black and his tan is the most beautiful combination of tan with blackish hairs. I think his color is stunning and we are really praying that Yogi will turn out that way. G got the silver gene from her mum and she is equally as beautiful. I just love the way each Yorkie has so much individuality, yet all are true Yorkies through and through. ![]() 1) Manolo 2) Yogi 3) Gracie Ruth

| ![]() Hi his his colour is not gonna change. at his age. My little girl Lulu is 12mnths and is the same as yours. It took me along time to find her. because I love that colour, I made sure the mum and dad were both black and tan, so that give me a better chance of her staying this colour!! Love Wendy ![]() ![]() ![]() |
