| oopsmyhalofello | 06-14-2009 03:15 PM | I started off with the disposable paper pads and they became more of a toy then anything, so switched to washable.. and I felt I was being more green by using the washable ones. I am one of the unfortunate ones who's dog can't seem to tell the difference between the washable pads and the carpeting in my house though. Her pad was kept inside her expen and she would use it without a problem when she was contained in it, but when the door was open and she was running around she would sqat and go where ever. I have no switched to a box with artifical grass and keep it in the garage so I bring her out to go potty.. anyway... I did notice there was a smell in the house and I didn't like it at all. I changed the pads daily and kept them in a pail in the basement laundry room until there was 3 of them and a blanket or bed to wash them with. That pail got really smelly and I think that was probably what I smelled more then the one that she was using. I think a diaper genie would be a great idea to use before washing but after use. :) |
