| I will add that Rusty exerts more control over my hubby than me, because Rusty demands that his daddy take him on 2 walks a day, while he only demands one long walk from me. If he senses that Daddy has forgotton that it's time for one of his two walks, he whines and cries so pitifully it will break your heart to hear him. We can't deny him so Rusty keeps us on schedule, LOL.

| It's funny how certain people can't relate to what we all feel here. They don't understand how much these guys mean to us, but I guess unless you've been loved by a yorkie you really can't know. Not that other dogs don't get into your heart it's just that these guys know how to do it REALLY well! Yes, I don't look at it that they run my life, I choose to live the life they let me lead I'm with them 24/7 and I wouldn't have it any other way!...

| Yorkie Lover Donating Member | My girls have affected my life in so many ways...I love them with all my heart and would do anything for them...they have taught me to be responsible for someone other than myself and taught me what being a parent is all about (for the future)....they taught me about what I wanted out of life and they kind of person I want to be and who I want to be with...they bring joy to my life everyday I wake up, they are loyal and forgiving and always there, esp. on the bad days....they have put a center to my life!! My girls have had an affect not only on me but my whole family as well....they have made us all dog people!!! They truly are my heart and soul...

| YES!!! I was never really a dog person but when I saw this tiny little puppy I fell in love. It's been different ever since!! I don't have any time for myself anymore...of course that's my choice but I just can't help but want to make sure he's always taken care of. |

| I'll never hear the end of it once Megan reads this. She always teases me because I sooooo did not want a puppy in the house. I was so heartbroken when Bandit died I didn't even want to think of getting another dog. But, Tucker is something else. He sleeps on my bed and wakes me up in the morning with kisses. He is wonderful. I hate going to family parties when I can't take him. I think about him while I'm at work all day. He's just taken over my life. I love him to death and he is my little man!

| I always knew that when I got a dog, I would talk reallllly good care of it. But I never thought for one minute that everything that I loved doing, I wouldn't be doing anymore and I wouldn't care. I used to go horseback riding everyday if not at least every other day. I used to take my ballet classes 3 times a week. Since I've gotten her in May, I haven't done any of those things AT ALL. But I don't care much, I love her and love being with her. I don't get tired of her.

| Absolutely. Even when before I was retired it was like this. Making sure she ate good, check for long nails, does she "look" happy. Attention, attention, attention. Why doesn't she play with her toys. Oh, oh, loose bm, no bm, hard bm. Grooming, do I go short this time, long this time, eyes? Nose? bath time - too late, too early, will she get chilled, and the FOOD - why wont' she eat, is she allergic, is she bored - boy do they they RULE. I don't understand these "dominance" issues. Anyone who gets a Yorkie needs to know right away - you are slave - they rule. TRUE???? |

| My Gosh!! I can't believe how different things are for me since Maddie came home. I was definetely surprised when I got her how much time she required. But as she is getting older - it doesn't seem like a big deal. She is my main priority and everything else is second to her. Like others have said, people who thought I was nuts getting a dog (this being my first) are absolutely in love with her. Even my Dad (who was one of those who thought I was a bit goofy), has a heart condition and needs to exercise - and would never do it after 5 heart attacks, makes sure he walks her at least once a day. I can't imagine not having her - even when she's a little mischievious or I'm letting her out for the second time in the middle of the night.

| Yes, this is my first dog. Boy...my life has changed. I didn't get any sleep for the first 4 months we had him. We always have to think "What about Stomper" if we want to go out...it is like having a baby! I used to sit on my butt after work and watch TV - now I am forced to walk Stomper daily and smile/laugh a heck of alot more. I wouldn't change it for the world, but did I think my yorkie would dominate my life...NO! Boy was I surprised.
