One of the problems with typeing is you never know how someone is putting things. But I do hate the word idiot and calling people names is just so imature. I understand if someones decision is stupid that dosent make them stupid tho.

Ok, very glad to hear she is going to wait and do some further searching. Along with everything that has been said here the whole shipping a Yorkie puppy, or any dog really, this time of year is just plain abuse. Was he going to ship it in the cargo hold? To DC in December? The puppy would be dead before it got to DC from the cold. As dangerous as it is to ship them in the heat of summer it is equally as dangerous to ship in the cold of winter. Makes me want to chain him up outside in his skivvies and let him see what it's like to freeze. I'm generally a forgiving person, but when it comes to people harming children, old folks and animals, I loose all perspective.

Good for you. I hope she gets the perfect puppy. I am so grateful that we saw both parents when we bought our baby. They were exactly what we wanted. I just thought about Marley and Me. LOL They didn't see the father of Marley.

Sounds like a scam to me! They always say that all they're charging is the fee to ship the puppy. And always ask for your full name and shipping addres. Keep away from these type of ads!!

no question about it... scam!!!! Just look up puppy scams on google/yahoo ans see the thousands of site that suggest you to stay away from people who are doing just as she is doing. I know it's tempting to go after a puppy thats cheap, but why would you go by word alone with no phone conversation or pictures to see if there's an actual person? Please tell her to not go through it.

And you previous post is right, tell them that your're 'near by' or a family member can pick the puppy up.... they won't reply.

Okay first off you dont know me so before calling me immature learn to spell. I dont believe an immature person qualifies as someone who has paid their own bills since they were 16 and has worked and paid their own way through school. Actually, if you purchase a puppy from a reputable breeder, it's quite common not to see the father. Reputable breeders strive to improve their lines and to produce puppies as close to the standard as possible. They will select a stud who is the best genetic compliment to the dam. The odds of that stud being under the same roof can be relatively low. That's why you will find that reputable breeders often use artificial insemination if the perfect mate is across the country or send the female to the male to be bred.

"Both parents on premises" is often used as a marketing pitch, but can really be a red flag, a warning that the breeder is not knowledgable about genetics and is just putting two dogs together to make puppies.

Yeah i know what you mean. That is why posted this thread. I was really concerned. Oh my sister lives in Detroit...which is very far from Seattle! She said that he was going to ship it via special services through the airline. But I don't trust that either. Like how can you be sure that they will ship the puppy that way? I saw Izzy's parents and I think that was the best thing to do.
