| How long does your yorkie sleep? I was just wondering if Bella is like anyone else's furbaby. She sleeps apx 19-20 hours a day. She is healthy, and playful when she wants to be. But the majority of the time she sleeps. We wake up around 9, go downstairs and she sleeps literally ALL day until she has to go potty or gets hungry. She wakes up and plays with my BF when he comes over. And if I take her for a walk she is all for it. But she seems so lazy. She loves to lay, or be rubbed. Then she just falls off to sleep. Any other yorkies out there that sleep LOTS??

| My Bella doesnt sleep as long as I'm running around cleaning, cooking, etc. She only sleeps when I set down or at night. Now if we are having a lazy day, she will sleep more of course. When she is at work, she wont sleep until Lexi lays down to take a nap, then she will nap for a couple of hours. She's too nibby...lol |

| My puppy sleeps a lot while I'm at work or at home not doing much....if I'm cleaning or doing anything that involves movement, he is right in the middle of it. I think he sleeps a lot cause he is just a puppy.

| My BF makes fun of me, because I am naturally lazy. I usually spend the majority of the day on the couch especially when I am on breaks from college. And he says Bella just picks it up from me

Donating YT 10K Club Member | While dogs sleep quite a bit, I think 19-20 hours a day is excessive. I would be concerned. I have three ranging in age from 3 years to 11 months...none of them sleep the amount of time you are describing.

| I guess that is why I was asking, I also feel it is excessive. But I just had her to the vet for her wellness check up. And the vet did a blood panel to check for some things after I described her sleeping patterns, and said everything was normal? I just think it is SO much sleep. She just turned 2 in October. But she has ALWAYS been this way.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | My first thought would be a heart issue. You had a full blood panel done or an abbreviated one? I'm not even sure a heart issue could be detected with any blood panel.

| I had a full panel done because of some underlying conditions she was having, but it turned out to be gas *hehe* I tend to be a neurotic mommy with her, getting freaked out if she burbs wrong. So I asked for a full panel.

| At one time I read an average dog sleeps around 20 hours a day. All 6 of mine sleep probably 19-20 hours, including the 6 mos old pup, and they're all healthy |

| That is a lot of sleep for a full grown dog Have you specifically asked your Vet about this issue? Also ... are you sure she's sleeping while you are asleep? Is it possible she has her days and nights mixed up? Little dogs .... esp Yorkies love checking out things that go bump in the night She might be awake while you don't even know it

| Chloe sleeps all night or atleast I assume she does , she is in her play yard and she is quiet. During the day she sleeps about an hour or two in between her playtimes , if we are home. She has LOTS of energy ( although she seems to be calming a bit now at 8 months) If we are out she wont really rest until we come home then she crashes for hours.
