| my poor baby... i got my baby yesterday and on the way home she started to cough terribly...i had researched the breed before i got her on here and the internet so i was familiar with the possiblities of kennel cough and collapsing trachea so today i took her to the vet to find out for sure. it was kennel cough..bailee is eating fine and playing but at nite she has horrible coughing spells...it is breaking my heart, she is on two meds which make her so sleepy but all she is doing is coughing, i dont kno how my heart got wrapped around this little 2 pound furball in 24 hours but it happened and it is so unbearable to see her hurting, she wants nothing to do with my bf or mom, just me to hold her and pet her and cuddle(shes a huge snugglebug)I wish I could help her feel better...i feel so helpless here...shes has a humidifier and it seemed to help just a lil but its not enough to completely comfort her...im so mad with the breeder, how could she not help this lil baby, she had to have noticed the cough. Another hard lesson about bad breeders...i should have known she was no good but she fooled me...i wouldnt trade my girl for anything tho...

| Congrats on your new baby and I'm so sorry she is sick. The breeder knew this baby was sick before she let her go and probably thinks she's got away with it. Stand your ground and keep us posted.

| Hope your baby is better I had the horrible experience of kennel cough with my first baby as well. Started about 3 days after I got her. Luckily she recovered without any problems, but I lost about 4 nights sleep being up all night. It is very scary when they are coughing so hard and there is nothing you can do for them. I live in the mountains, and makes me wonder if our breeders are related. Needless to say, I was undereducated about the breed and had not yet found this site. I now know what to look for and how to be more selective. I wish you better days ahead, and a healthy baby!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Congrats on your new baby. My Cali had kennel cough when I got her and gave it to my older pom. It took 3 months to clear it up completely but they were ok other than that.
