I had the horrible experience of kennel cough with my first baby as well. Started about 3 days after I got her. Luckily she recovered without any problems, but I lost about 4 nights sleep being up all night. It is very scary when they are coughing so hard and there is nothing you can do for them. I live in the mountains, and makes me wonder if our breeders are related. Needless to say, I was undereducated about the breed and had not yet found this site. I now know what to look for and how to be more selective. I wish you better days ahead, and a healthy baby!
