| do u bring ur yorkie 2 work? Hi I bought a little boy from someone on here and will get him towards Christmas. I was wondering how some of you manage with your baby at work. I will be bringing him with me to the office, but was wondering if I should get a playpen or just a crate. He will be in there for at 3 hours per day (I know that is alot, but at least he gets to go with me.) Thank you for your help |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I have 3 that go to work with me each day....all day every day. Mine travel in crates. We do have one bed tucked under my desk...but only one of mine uses the bed...the other two sleep in their crates. For the most part...they sleep on the job.

Layla is at work with me all day- we own our own business and she has a bed in there- she usually just sleeps- i bring her crate in case she wants to go in there- otherwise she wanders around getting attnetion or she has a few toys there that she will play with- but mostly she sleeps. |

| I wish I could take him to work. It would make my days so much happier. My Hubby can work from home sometimes...and I get jealous because he can work and cuddle with our little one at the same time. |

| I wish I could bring Max to school. I would just let him run around the classroom. It's not like he would be that much of a distraction... haha. I brought him once to a cross country meeting and no one was listening to the coach because they were saying how cute he was! Silly little guy. Three hours is not a lot at all! Max is alone for 3-5 hours while I'm at school depending on the day and then he gets a 2 1/2 hour break when I come home but then I have to go to soccer again for two more hours . I wish I could bring him everywhere and I hope I get a job where I can bring him. Oh yeah, and I would bring the play pen since he is a puppy and you don't want him having accidents everywhere!

| I used to bring my Yorkie to work with me (on the subway...what an adventure!) about once a week...for the most part, no one even knew she was there because she would sleep the entire time. Enjoy having your pup there with you! |

| Ginger comes to work with me everyday. She stays in my office with me and I fenced her in real close to my desk so she would potty on her pee pads. After 6 months, I put a gate up on my door so she can wander around my office and watch out the window. Now I leave the gate open and let her wander around the office. She explores for a while, but always return back to my office to sleep in her bed. She loves to interact with everyone at the office and she knows when to move out of the way. I highly recommend bringing your baby to the office. They are great for stress and it's good socialization for them. It's a win-win situation for both!

| work with me Yuki is with me everyday at work. I have the privilege of managing the office condos and live right here too. He sleeps in a small cat cave bed which I keep on the desk. When I have to take care of business- outside I crate him. I use to put him in a play pen, but he seems to tolerate the crate better. I think you can just see what your situation allows...If you can keep a crate at work, or find a folding one, or a small bed...under the desk...just don't spend too much money on anything YET! Until you see what works best for you....you might even move things around to come up with different ideas that would work in your situation... You might be surprised how much you change the living situation for the dog at work until you find what works best...bed, potty, food & water, visitors, ETC.... Good luck and have fun. Melissa

| i guess it all depends where you work:-) if you a police officer or a doctor :-) its hard to manage. :-) I'm sure its not possible if you work in a big corporation (everybody will be distracted by your cutie) :-) and i think that security will never let you:-( |

Thor's Human Donating Member | I am fortunate to work in a pet-friendly company. When I first met my guy, he belonged to our office manager. He had free run of the building (three floors) and he loved to explore, beg for food, poop in random places, etc. Eventually the last two habits got him banned from the upper floors. I now keep him in my office on a thirty-foot retractable leash. It gives him a little bit of leg room, but mostly he hangs out in my office. Eventually, I'd like to get him to a point where he has good enough manners that he's allowed full run of the place again. Alternatively, I'd like to figure out a way to keep him from going upstairs. Some kind of training technique, maybe. |
