| She may be mixed, but she could also just be a product of bad breeding practices. Either way, she is adorable!

| Wow. That was pretty harsh. Most pups are pretty fluffy by 8 weeks, I don't think anyone said anything about a "floor length coat." And the OP is smart to ask- they may have paid a lot for a pure bred yorkie. Maybe they can get some money back?

| I got my first yorkie at 7 weeks, she didn't look anything like that. she was a fluff ball. I really think these breeders need to start being more honest with people. I'm glad she's got you for a mommy, sounds like you love her, and that's the main thing, is that she gets lots of love.. |

| This is a good post...I wish i had a digital pic of Keegan when we got him 7 years ago. He was long & skinny, his hair was all knotted up & he looked cross-eyed...but I LOVED him at first sight. If you want a visual, maybe what we called him at that time will help....Keegie the cross-eyed weezel! He still doesn't look like most yorkies but I tell you, that boy can put out some loving! |

| I think she looks like a yorkie. Is she 8 weeks old? Just hold her and love her she is still very young and should be with her mom until 12 weeks...good luck and send pics as she grows. |

| She is so cute! She looks mixed, but I bet if you give her a little more time to grow, you would be able to be a little more sure. Either way, she's adorable!

| I too am unsure if mine is full yorkie (she doesn't have all the brown around her nose like most do) but I really couldn't care less. I actually was considering buying a yorkie mix anyway. I think some of the mixes are just adorable. And I love my little girl no matter what anyway! The vet told me that she looked full yorkie to her but you could never be positive even with a dna test. | Thanks for all the replies I didn't intend to sound as if I was complaining, just inquiring since my mom did spend the $$ for her. She is a great healthy puppy, I couldn't ask for more. I love her regardless if she is purebreed or not. Thank you again for all the feedback! cris |

| Forgot to post this in my initial thread! My mom actually found the ad for Suki in the PennySaver (its like the classifieds). The woman wasn't an official breeder according to my mom. She also didn't register the litter. I'm okay with that because Suki is awesome with or without the papers. I'll post more pictures soon! Thank you again for your replies! Happy Holidays! |

| Yeah, she def has some Chi in her, but as long as you love her, it doesn't really matter, right? It does stink though if your mom got hosed on paying full price though |

| Yes, post pictures of this little baby As long as your family is happy and love this new little puppy, then i think everyone wins. Allow the little one to grow up some, and see the changes in her. I think it might be just too early to tell, and right now it is a guessing game. More then likely , your new puppy will be a pure bred , w/o papers. That is fine too. A lot of pure breds do not have papers, it does not make them any less pure.

| yup she is a yorkie I have had two litters where 1 female out of each litter comes out that way. Don't worry she will grow into her hair, it just takes a little longer than mosts. Most often they will have the darker hair also when they are full grown. Don't worry she's adorable!

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Hmmm...this is a tough one No matter what she is, she is adorable...(but in the second picture, especially) she sort of looks like she could have some Chi in her - but of course I couldn't say for sure...I guess only her breeder would know the real answer. Something about her head/facial shape in the second picture reminded me a little of a Chi....but who *really* knows for sure. Regardless, she is so so sweet!!!
