| Baby talk? I'm just curious as to how many of us 'baby talk' to our doggies. If you do what do you say the most? The one I use the most is "you are the baby, oh yes you are".

| Hahaha, it's hilarious you should post about this. Before we got Nikko, my DH calmly informed me that he doesn't do that high pitched baby talk stuff to dogs - he said he would just be talking to him normally. Needless to say, he now coos and baby talks just as much as I do, lol. He's even taken to calling me mommy and himself daddy, which I'm sure he never would have thought he'd do in a million years. He's a good daddy. ;-P Our favorite high-pitched baby-talk phrases include, "precious little boy," "poor baby," "daddy's/mommy's little boy," "good potty!" and of course "such a good boy!!!!" | My 3 skin-kids are grown. I worked really hard not to talk baby talk to them, so they would learn to speak correctly, but Snoopy isn't going to learn too much English, so I indulge myself. I say, "where my 'Noopy!", "does him want some tweats? Yes him does!" and "Mommy wubs her wittle Snoopy." And yes, it's Mommy and Daddy here.

| Baby talk You mean there're not our little babies? LOL! I definitely talk to LuLu like a baby. All the time. What's so strange is that she understands me. There are times I think she is even trying to "talk" back to me. LOL! I've often heard "Whoever said you can't buy happiness, forgot about puppies." Well, I beg to differ....."Whoever said you can't buy happiness, obviously has never had a yorkie."

| ha ha ..this thread is great. I was sitting in the Fort Myers Airport with my mom when she overheard this lady talking "babytalk" to her dog...she then loooked at me and said "OH so its NOT just YOU that does that huh?" I nearly spit out my water laughing. LoL i always say "who's mommy's big boy?"

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | OH GOD THIS THREAD has me cracking up I think "baby talk" is practically the only "talk" my Yorkies hear me speak in, to them lol I always call them my "wiggle babies" (meaning LITTLE babies) I used to say "wittle" - and then I switched over to "wiggle" - don't ask, cause I have no idea I don't even know if I know how to type in english some of the words I use lol...it is "extreme baby talk" My husband thinks I've completely lost it. He always tells me, "I really don't know what is wrong with you anymore. I haven't been able to understand you for the last 3 years" (since we got our babies) lol... sigh.
